ElGaucho (1726), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Sep 18, 2003 Bottle. Rich, piney hops aroma. Amber hue with excellent lace. Not much head. Beautiful color, plum or dark rose. Very well hopped and balanced well with sweetness. Very drinkable and well done. inthebuff99 (11), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jun 4, 2001 The Fest is a very unique ale. Spicy, hoppy after tones and a one of a kind malty taste make it a great seasonal ale. RSRIZZO (1078), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 19, 2007 Had this beer on 9/30/1998. Color is a rich amber with good carbonation and head. Aroma has a nice hop scent with light malt back tones. Taste is crisp and nice. It starts with a light bubbly body that goes down crisp and refreshing. The finish is also crisp with a fresh feel, lightly bitter and a nice light hop flavor. Its a well balanced brew with a nice fresh taste. Also it fits what a good Fall brew should be and this one would be wonderful on a cool Fall afternoon. tennisjoel (749), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Aug 3, 2005 Updated: Dec 22, 2005In a bottle. Small off-white head. Aroma is honey and malts. Cloudy orange red color with particles floating within. Lacing is good. Taste is bready with sweet caramel tones. Almost a peppery finish. I like the malty flavor, and the hoppy finish. Pretty decent. PhillyBeer2112 (1887), Orange Park, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2003 A fairly nice hoppy amber ale. Pure amber color with a medium creamy head and heavy lacing. Aroma is hoppy and citric with lemon rind, some grapefruit. Flavor is hoppy and moderate caramel malting with biscuity flavors, tingly resiny mouthfeel. Fresh hop aromatics are what make this beer. If they've faded with age, don't expect much else.
