scotch4281 (36), Hollywood, Florida, USA Jun 23, 2008 Great beer. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor but figured hey it has a cool name, it must be able to back it up. hamsterglory (31), Bryan, Texas, USA Sep 13, 2008 i’m telling you: at one time, this was a five star beer. despite what dan at boulder beer says, something has changed. something has backed up and relented. maybe the price of hops? maybe the shortage of necessities? whatever the case - something has changed. but that something is not my allegiance to this brewery or this particular ale. i love boulder beer. i love hazed and infused. were i awaiting the electric chair and i had only five beers to drink before my death, i would choose a hazed. i mean, really, people, it’s just that good. (okay, that was melodramatic, but still). melted penny copper color imbues a full dry-hop aroma. i smell slightly familiar flavor. i taste jason scott’s kansas city living room and rob zombie’s filmography. i taste herb harjes’ denver camaraderie and cara harjes’ great stories. i tasted that christmas eve when the wife and i watched ALL the ROCKY films, and i woke up on christmas day with a splitting headache. yes: this is my ale. i see it is the color, smell it in the aroma, taste it in the changed flavor, miss it when i am away from distribution. i could say more about the technicalities, but this is not a technical beer for me: it’s autobiographical. and i hope more people will subscribe to its story. ericmanley (2), USA does not count Jan 16, 2007 Very strong American hop flavor and aroma. Plenty of floral character. A bit hazy, but I guess that’s intentional. Medium white foam with good retention. PBOYNY (316), Westchester, New York, USA Jan 3, 2003 this is one of the best ales i have ever tasted, hoppy beyonf belief, great head, smells like a fresh forest grove with big fluffy taste explosions with every swallow! DUbrew (50), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Dec 17, 2004 This is my new favorite pale ale. For me its just goes down better than my old fav, Alpha King. The fruitiness is not overpowering, and the beer is not overly carbonated, just enough.
