This unfiltered dry-hopped ale is "hazed" in its natural state and "infused" with a Crystal and Centennial hop blend, creating a flavorful aromatic brew. 12.5 Plato

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aromas are mellow caramel and citrus. The pour is slightly hazy, light caramel brown, with a slight effervescence. It’s topped by a soapy orange head which reduces down to a thin, filmy layer with a thin ring and light, random lacing. The taste is medium sweet and lightly bitter. The texture is oily thin with a medium / medium light body and a light amount of average buzzy carbonation. Flavors of caramel, nuts, and bitter citrus finish the beer with a light butter and burnt toast aftertaste. It’s very smooth and easy drinking.

The body has a deep orange amber color with a slight haze and is topped off with two fingers of creamy off white foam. This head settles down to a thin cap that makes some nice lacing on the glass. This one is full of big citrus, floral and pine hop notes with just a little sweet malt underneath. Just like the nose its flavor is full of wonderful citrus, grapefruit, pine and topical fruit notes. A light base of bready malt seeks in here and there with a slight caramel sweetness. The hops run from the fount to the finish and bring plenty of hop bitterness that slowly fades off the tongue. The body has a medium feel with soft carbonation.

Sampled at Great Canadian Beer Festival. Grass, lemon zest and grapefruit; sharply dryhopped. Clean, super bitter. A bit thin -- lacks a good malt base to carry the heavy hops.

GBBF Day 1. Bottle share. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Minerals. Light malts bring mild sweetness. Light marmalade hops, crispy. Lemon keeps things lively. Light crisp finish. All right.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The brew is served a rather golden amber color with a nice two finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is biggest of a pale malt smell with a good showing of a bready aroma. Along with these smells is a light fruity sweetness as well as a moderate showing of hops with both a pine and floral nature being there. Taste – The taste begins with a somewhat sweeter malt taste with some lightly toasted bready tastes as well as a light fruit sweetness of apricot and orange that were detected from the nose. As the taste advances the sweeter fruit gets replaced by a more caramel like sweetness with some hops coming to the tongue with a grapefruit and pine like nature being the heaviest. Further along to the end of the taste, a floral hop taste comes to the tongue as well as a bit of the sweeter fruit coming back to the taste to leave a rather pleasant, moderately hopped and slightly sweeter pale ale flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather average in its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average as well. Both are nice for the more moderate blend of hop, malt and sweet and make for a very easy drinking feel overall. Overall – A quite easy drinking and enjoyable pale ale. Nothing crazy out of the ordinary, but rather tasty none the less.

Pours a darker, reddish amber with a medium, thicker looking, though quickly fading white head. A fresh aroma consists of grassy hops, light pine, caramel, orange, and honey. The taste is dry, a bit sweet, and with some slight bitterness. The main impressions are a combination of grass and pine. Some candyish flavors and, apple, and hints of grapefruit are found as well. Medium in body, slick textured, and with above average carbonation. I find this refreshing to drink. Pretty solid effort here.
