Had this beer on 12/25/2002. Aroma is fresh and full of a nice hop scent. Color is a clear orange with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is HOPPY, o so hoppy. It starts with a light medium body that goes down crisp. Finish is one of the most wonderful, hop filled delights I have ever had. First you get the taste of the aromatic hops just as you finish sipping it down, then the bright fresh taste of these hops builds nicely. This is all topped off with the perfect balance of malt and a firm bitterness.

Really unique, tastes like fish fillets, grainy too. Pretty fantastic all things considered. Taste like cilantro and celery mixed.

Likely my favorite IPA. Beautiful aroma of citrus and pine. Nice finish, though I’ve had bottles that were particularly malty. All in all, a solid beer.

Great concoction and available nationally now. Give this stuff a try. Pours a perfect head and is perfect for a hot day.

I really like this beer. Good for session drinking, but it is interesting enough to stand alone. Probably my favorite beer from Boulder Beer Company.

A very drinkable Pale?IPA? the hop aroma is outstanding, I found myself wanting to smell this amazing ale awhile, before sipping. Flavor is hoppy, but not over the top with a nice maltiness. Body is nice and not too heavy. White foamy head that could hold a quarter for a spell. Color was a nice light amber that when decanted was very clear. Good Job !!!

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a medium, nearly white head. Aroma is rich with pine and citrus hop, some floral, smells wonderful. Flavor is very nicely balanced between the high hop bitterness and sweet malty flavors, with some good cereal and bread flavors lurking under the bright, citrusy hops. Palate is medium, and the finish is all hops. Very good!

What a treat it was to find this beer on the shelf of a supermarket in Phoenix Arizona, a place where servers think a Pale Ale means a lite beer. This delicious beer has made me very happy tonight.

This is a surprisingly quality beer! I was expecting something more along the lines of Purple Haze, a marketing scam for hippies and Hendrix fans. I do say though - the thing with this beer is that it is has both style and substance. I don’t exactly like the style it has, but it is a beautiful beer when you hold it up to the light. Great cloudy colour with nice head. It is hoppy, but lighter than many IPAs (I am not a fan of IPAs but I do like this APA). On the whole, really impressed by this APA.

12 oz bottle. Pours a copper color. Aroma is quite hoppy - a hoppy aroma that I figured meant it was a IPA (the site lists it as an APA - bo no matter). The flavor is nothing short of fantastic. It has an excellent dry hop flavor, and is one of the better beers I’ve had in quite some time to bring in the spring (and summer) seasons. Very mild (e.g. smooth), with a flavor that is good even only slightly "chilled" straight off the shelf - a feat that doesn’t always work out with many beers.
