UPDATED: JUL 25, 2010 on tap @ brewery. Pours a purple-tinged amber with a medium head. Smells faintly like blueberries and sugar, but vaguely tastes like that. A medium and ho-hum body hide the blueberry taste behind a somewhat malty ale. But when the blueberries do come in at the end, its not enough. If the body was more assertive, or the blueberries more tart, I would have liked it better.

Bottle. Pours a purple tinged amber with a short head. Aroma is odd and fruit but blueberry is not necessarily the fruit aroma. Smells like tart berries, fruit pie and a weird sauce-like or marinade-like aroma. Maybe even like a salad vinaigrette aroma. Taste is thankfully a lot better. Slightly tart blueberries, sweet malt, berries and bready notes. Body is medium and very bubbly. Ends with more blueberry and berry notes, sweet malt, blueberry muffin and light tartness. Not too bad. Good summer beer.

Bomber ("SEP 29 2010" stamped in yellow on bottle neck). Crystal clear copper colored body with a white head. Big frothy, lacing, and long lasting. No blueberries on the aroma, just simple pale malt and lager yeast. Curious...? Flavor is simple as well without much blueberry character AT ALL. Tastes like a hopless bitter to me. Solid and easy going and inoffensive and poundable, just absolutely no fruit anywhere. I am super confused. Anyways, overall: this beer is totally inoffensive, but totally confusing to me. Do I have a different beer mistakenly bottled in a "Kinda Blue" bottle? Tastes like what I could assume is the base beer without the blueberries added.

Pours an amber color, medium head. Aroma is of wheat. Slightly sour taste, little bitterness. Average carbonation. Blueberry taste is strongest in the aftertaste at first, a few sips into it you can begin to consistently notice the blueberry. It’s subtle but has the right amount of blueberry, most beers like this would be overpowering. Has a nice blend of wheat and blueberry. Decent microbrew, very refreshing, but not spectacular. 15/20.

bottle was a duce duec baby. The beer poured a copper/amber body with a fizzy head. the smell is a sour fruit. The taste is a little bitter but just like a blueberry droped in beer. Good carbonation.

Beer poors medium golden, with a white heads that fades quickly. Aroma has a mello blueberry aroma. Beer has low bitterness, and a slight sweetness. Blueberry flavor is subdued but pleasant. Palate is clean. Overall the beer is a good fruit beer, blueberry is subdued but pleasant.

22 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear golden color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of a blueberry muffin... bready malts and sweet blueberry notes. The taste is very much the same... bready malts, fresh blueberries and a faint bitterness. Medium bodied. The fruit is present but not overbearing and nothing seems artificial. Overall a well made fruit beer.

This poured a clody darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was very light fruits, and some yeast and wheat. Flavor was sticky sweet, some spice and slight notes of blueberry. Very boring.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal, caramel), lightly hoppy (resin), with notes of rust, dirt, soap, hint of vague fruit syrup. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. Amazingly bad. Hardly any blueberry presence, and what’s there is equal parts feedbag grains and dirty off notes. Embarrassing.

Pours dark due to the blueberries and tastes of a cheap/standard american wheat ale. Slight aromas that suggest blueberries. Slightly fruity finish. Kinda is the operative word here.
