Bomber from Oak Tree. Pours light amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma is a sort of bready/yeasty (not spicey) blueberry. It’s pretty foamy. Flavor? Wheat. Blueberry? not that much. Still, it sort of works. Blueberry bitter sort of builds. Main point: On a summer evening it’s definitely drinkable. But I can’t hardly wait for the impy stout.

Bottle. Poured clear reddish golden color with a average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart fruit aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart blueberry flavor with a medium sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Refreshing drinkable fruit beer.

An amber ale with a thin off white head. A stong aroma of blueberry juice, butterscotch, not bad. In mouth, a lightish blueberry ale with malts balls and fruit jam. Run of the mill fruit beer. On tap at Tap and Mallet, July 30, 2010.

Tap at Pony. Amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is distinctly dirty with a soft fruity nose. A touch of blueberry but it’s kind of indistinct and not all that compelling. A touch of citrus on the finish but the basic story is that it’s an odd combination of bad and boring.

DocLock (6789) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Bomber from Capone’s. Pours deep coppery with ruby pink highlights and 2 fingers of white clingy head. Nose is caramel malt, mild blueberry, some fainy earthy notes. Tastes malty, with mild bluberry, mild hops, somewhat cloying and sweet, and not terribly complex. OK, but just OK.

Bottled. Poured medium orange with a slightly pinkish white head.. looked fairly good in the glass. The aroma picked up sweet blueberries (a little too sweet at times) over very nice tangy lemon and wheat.. some blueberry meat beneath. The flavor found tangy blueberry skin, lemon zest, and wheat upfront, with pale and somewhat cardboardey malts beneath.. finished with dried blueberries, earthy wheat, and tacky pale malts. Lighter-bodied and prickly on the palate.. dry in the end, but in the artificial sweetener-kinda way.. drinkable, but not really enjoyable.
