Has a relatively light blueberry taste, had more of a beer taste than a previous blueberry beer.

On Tap at the Boulder Beer Bar, Denver International Airport 13/09/2010 Fruit and some hop aroma. Amber coloured a little sweet on the palate and fruity blueberry with a hint of dryness in a lasting malt finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a golden body with a little white head. Light hoppy and blueberry aroma is okay. Malty fruity flavor. Very easy drinking beer. Medium bodied. Very light and refreshing. Nice.

Mildly yeasty aroma with some odd fruit. Nice, light, balanced wheat with a hint of blueberry. Not overpowering.

Pours an amber color, medium head. Aroma is of wheat. Slightly sour taste, little bitterness. Average carbonation. Blueberry taste is strongest in the aftertaste at first, a few sips into it you can begin to consistently notice the blueberry. It’s subtle but has the right amount of blueberry, most beers like this would be overpowering. Has a nice blend of wheat and blueberry. Decent microbrew, very refreshing, but not spectacular. 15/20.

Pours golden copper with a tall head that lingers. I can just barely smell the blueberries on the nose. Medium nectar with good carbonation. Malty with defined blueberry essence. Although this brew is fruit forward it is not sweet at all, rather balanced and very drinkable. It lays soft on the tongue with a round texture that goes down smooth and very mellow. If you like fruit infused beer you gotta try this one.

I bought this at the same time I bought a DFH Bitches Brew, so it was a Miles Davis themed trip I suppose...Anyway, I liked this more than I thought I would. Good use of fruit - not overbearing, but well balanced and tasty. I would actually buy this again.

Boulder Kinda Blue is a lively, hazy amber ale with a small white head that quickly vanishes. The aroma is pretty fruity, but it doesn’t immediately register as blueberry. Tangy malt, something doughy and floral hops are just as prominent in the nose. It’s medium-light bodied and very lively. The finish is pretty crisp and clean. Slightly sweet malt is probably the most prominent flavor, along with a very slight green bitterness at the finish. There is an obvious fruitiness to it, but I wouldn’t have guessed there was any blueberry in this if it wasn’t for the label. I was slightly disappointed by this, because I had my blueberry boots on when I cracked it open. It’s very malt-centric and not very fruity. That’s sort of the opposite of what I usually look for in a blueberry ale. Nonetheless, it’s not bad.

22 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear golden color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of a blueberry muffin... bready malts and sweet blueberry notes. The taste is very much the same... bready malts, fresh blueberries and a faint bitterness. Medium bodied. The fruit is present but not overbearing and nothing seems artificial. Overall a well made fruit beer.

Bottle. Poured clear reddish golden color with a average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart fruit aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart blueberry flavor with a medium sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Refreshing drinkable fruit beer.
