Mo-Jo: 1: A magic spell or charm; magical power; 2. Herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.

Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.

Draught: Smelled hopy and citrusy, with a hint of grapefruit. Poured cloudy amber/light gold/orange color. Small, diminishing white head. No lacing. Tasted crisp and hoppy, with some citrus and spice notes. Crisp, though not dry, finish. Easy to drink. Overall, a solid IPA that could benefit from more IBUs.

Light gold in color with a quickly dissipating tan head. Mild aroma of citrus and sweetness, moderately hoppy. Body is full and malty, with some grapefruit hoppiness that dominates. Mouthfeel is dry, bitter, and coating. Very tasty.

Rich golden color with a head and lacing that lasted the duration. Aroma-intoxicating citrusy piney hops. Medium to full bodied with loads of hops and a good malt balance. Grapefruity bitter finish. Solid.

Light golden orange hue. Big fruity floral nose. Tight off white head, nice lacing. Thin pale malt backbone, medium body, and all citrus, big big fruity notes. Pleasantly bitter, but big fruit. I cant get over all the fruit here. Lemon, grapefruit and resinous pine needle clumps. Definately delicious.

A light orange color. A big grapefruit and floral nose. The flavor was pretty tame with a bit of grapefruit and orange. It slightly hoppy but certainly not over done. Its simple but it has a good flavor to it.

Grapefruit hop nose with some biscuity malts. Hazy blonde body with shy white head that leaves a lasting ring and cover. Sweet and malty but very dry with plenty of grapefruit hop flavour and a fair balanced bitterness. A peppery note emerges in the flavour as it warms. Medium body with sticky but soft texture and moderate carbonation. Alcohol never apparent. Sampled on tap at Anam Cara in Boston with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #66. On tap at Anam Cara. Very light, slightly translucent amber with small foamy head and touch of lace...fresh apricots appear hugely in the aroma, some pungent oregano and burnt sugar...body slightly sticky/syrupy, pleasant but very very sweet and heavy, almost cloying.

MartinT (9369) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Classic grapefruit, oranges and caramel befriend a spicy ending...Apricots and near-cloying sweetness are diluted by a watery yet quenching feel...Nothing out of the ordinary but well-done for what it is...
