3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
First, I really like this one. Could have more aroma, but the hops pack a bitter punch that’s almost equaled by the sweet malts. The bitterness is high in quantity, but only middling in quality, a little flinty and with a harsh herbal note. Resinous and chewy finish. In this increasingly crowded field, this big IPA is being overtaken by many. Still worth seeking out.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Solid IPA. My first from this brewery. Amber color, nice hoppy sent. Solid IPA. Memory is a bit hazzy on this one, but I know I liked it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this on nitro yesterday afternoon at Stouts. Very nice to have an IPA on nitro, really thick and creamy white head on this over a darkish yellow pour. Smooth, velvety and hoppy. Enjoyable.

I was given this from a beer rep. Free beer? Don’t mind if I do. I actually liked it!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to half-pint glass. Looks decent; light though. A completely transparent lighter gold with white lacing. Smells of hops and pale malt. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A clean, available IPA that I’d say is no-frills (at least by today’s standards), but consistently solid.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Boulder Beer makes a good IPA in the early American craft brewing style. Strong hop aroma and taste but brought down due to overly resinous hops used. I wish that boulder beer would refine this recipe to us lower AA hops but in greater quantities to maintain the IBUs.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear orange hue with an off white head. Aroma is of strong citrus, mild caramel. Flavor is mild citrus with a very mild hop flavor. Bitter at first and goes away fast and ends sweet. Not exactly what I look for in an IPA.
