LiebeBier (744), RIchmond, Virginia, USA May 5, 2008 Bottle - Golden colored beer with great clarity and white head. Bubble gum pine aroma. Very bitter beer with the perfect amount of malt well balanced with tasty hops. Great, enjoyable beer.
jeremytoni (560), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Aug 29, 2008 From a bottle poured a clear orangish color with a fair amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lingering aftertaste. Drnk_McDermott (1543), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Hazy amber pour, foamy white head. Smell is rather light on hops. But it’s all there in the taste. Plenty of grapefruitty Amarillo right off the bat. Yet malts are nice and sweet, giving it kind of a Ruby Red Grapefruit juice vibe. So despite the usual heaviness of the style, this goes down kind of light for the summer. Even a touch of flowers. Body is fully tuned to deliver a full IPA experience. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of my dad. But that means I don’t know how old it is. Pours a pale gold with a nice head, but it recedes quickly. The aroma is like an aged hoppy beer, so perhaps this has sat for a little long. But the flavour isn’t worse for wear. It’s very well balanced, with a good malt base and mellowed hops. I’ll re-rate once I have a fresh one.
Damico (50), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 17, 2008 This is an excellent IPA out of Colorado. It has an excellent clear flavor of balanced hops without any bitterness. The aroma isn’t powerful and there is a light reddish amber color. This IPA is just about perfect for the palate. uhclem (120), Loveland, Colorado, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours a cloudy apricot with a long lasting eggshell head and good lacing. Nose is earthy, with pine and citrus undertones. Taste is bright and bold, with pine repeated, along with oranges. Mouthfeel is crisp and bitter. This is a keeper.
