COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mo-Jo: 1: A magic spell or charm; magical power; 2. Herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.

Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.

Very light aroma on this one. Golden-orange in color with a light white head. Hoppy up front, fading into an herbal-"weedy" earthiness. Notes: From a brewery visit during GABF

A nice IPA that is easy to drink, a little bitter, hoppy and with a small citrus taste. Definitely one to have again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, poured into a sampler. Lots of bright, sweet aromas come out of this beer, including orange, lemon, grapefruit, some candy sugar, and some caramel late. Secondary notes of grain, toast, and cleanser come through, throughout the drink. It pours a clear, effervescent, honey yellow with a white soapy head. A thick ring is retained with a moderate layer of soapy head on the surface. A nice, sheet-web lace is left on the glass. The taste is a medium high bitter with a light sweetness. The texture is thin and oily with a medium body and an above average, soapy carbonation. Grapefruit, toast, and caramel malt finish the beer with a strong citrus peel joining in the aftertaste. It’s dry, slightly astringent and crisp.

Bottle. Aroma of citrus, wheat, hops and malt. Light flavor of hops, orange peel, grass and floral. Malty thickness, not so much sweetness, turns me off.

This golden colored IPA produces a full throttle IPA experience. There is a deeply satisfying malt flavor that is robust but not overdone. The flavor and mouth feel are balanced by a commensurate and perfectly apportioned hop bittering. After each sip there is a pleasant lingering remembrance beckoning one to return again quickly or just savor the lovely after effects on one’s palate. I love this pale IPA. It is clean and refreshing, yet respectably potent and lupulicious. Somewhere very close to a Titan IPA and beyond a Dale’s Pale Ale. This brew is not so thick and sticky so as to necessitate chasing each swallow with water, although I deeply respect some extreme IPA offerings that do. And it does lean to the strong deeply satisfying side of the IPA spectrum. It does not skimp in either the Malt or the Hop department but takes you deep into the sweet spot without overdoing it.

Draft. Pours dark yellow with a thin white head that dissipates. Heavy carbonation over grassy hop aroma. One dimensional hop punch. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’14, day 4, 15/08/14. Lightly hazed golden with moderate off white edgework. Nose is juicy hops, orange pith, mango, soft bread notes. Taste comprises light pine, mango, juicy hop presence, orange pith, pink grapefruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with hop bitterness. Decent well rounded IPA.

12 bottle poured into tulip. Clear orange gold, solid head, light lacing. Malty aroma with a little bit of citrus and pine. Very smooth and a bit creamy. Hop flavour is a bit light. Well balanced bitter/sweet. A good IPA, if lacking a bit of hoppiness. Would buy again.

Transfer from BA review on 12-9-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a clear golden amber colored beer with a two finger white head. The head has a great level of retention slowly fading over time to give a great level of lacing. Smell- The aroma is of a bready malt and a caramel sweetness. Mixed with these smells are aromas of grapefruit hop as well as a lighter pine hop aroma. Taste – The taste starts out as a bready flavor mixed with a light caramel sweetness. Right at the start there is a good grapefruit hop flavor. A light pine hop joins the taste soon after the initial taste, with the caramel fading in intensity. As the taste goes on from the middle to the end the grapefruit and pine really picks up in intensity. A very resinous hop flavor dominates the taste at the end where it leaves a bitter hop flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is a little bit on the creamier side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The average level of carbonation is good for keep it drinkable while the body accentuates the resinous flavors quite well. Overall – A nice biting and bitter , but drinkable IPA. While not the smoothest, if you want a good hop flavor this is a good one to go to.
