Commercial Description:
Only 120 precious barrels were brewed, adding more than half a ton of extra malt and twice the amount of Amarillo hops, so prepare your self for a full sensory explosion. The double dry-hop addition elevates the grapefruit-like aroma and flavor to an outrageous intensity, while the added malt raises the alcohol level from 7% all the way to 10% by volume.

Bottle, all the way from Beer and Keg World, Boca Raton Florida. Pours a hazy orange with a thin fine white head. Aroma is oily hoppy, citrus and pine. Flavor is a burst of hops with light alcohol finish. Pretty good, but expected more from Jim

Bottled: Pours an orange color. Smells of sweet hops, and has a nice balance between hops and malts. Sweet taste that is refreshing.

12 oz bottle from Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a very slightly hazy yellow/gold. Aroma was of earthy hops. Well malted to balance out the hop content. Overall a very good beer.

Pours a cloudy orange, aroma of sweet hops and alchohol. Flavor is just not right, too much alchohol and no balance, sweet caramalized hops that tasted soapy on the finish, leaves a cloyingness in the back of the throat. I liked Cold Hop, Mojo IPA, Hazed & Infused and had high expections, but just didn’t like this one. Next!!!

Bottle. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma of grassy hops as well as some piney ones...some pale caramel malt as well. Fairly malt in flavor with grassy notes coming through every now and again. Medium body with and earthy bitter finish. I think this is the most average IIPA I’ve ever had.OK

12 oz. bottle into sniffer. Crystal clear pour with a orange body with a brownish tint - its gets a 4 because of the unbelievable pillowy white head that leaves great lace. The aroma has more rich (almost barley wine-ish) malt character than I expected; of course, there are some nice citrus hop notes too. The flavor is more complex than I expected, in a similar way as was the case with the aroma - more malt character than expected. The hop character in the flavor is different than the aroma in that it is more piney than citrusy. Pretty thick and coating on the palate with smooth and soft carbonation. Overall: this brew really impressed me, and if you gave it to me without telling me what it was, I would be pretty confident it was a barley wine and not a IIPA. Either way, it was impressive and definitely worth trying.
