Commercial Description:
Only 120 precious barrels were brewed, adding more than half a ton of extra malt and twice the amount of Amarillo hops, so prepare your self for a full sensory explosion. The double dry-hop addition elevates the grapefruit-like aroma and flavor to an outrageous intensity, while the added malt raises the alcohol level from 7% all the way to 10% by volume.

22oz bottle: Pours a clear golden with a thin head. The aroma is a faint? hop note with more caramel and sweet notes coming through. The flavor has some citrus, toffee and a slight bite. The mouthfeel is medium to heavier but it fits. I remember liking this more the first time I had it in the spring and I definitely like regular Mojo better day to day but it might be loosing some of it’s hop character.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a small but lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of Amarillo hops and hop resin. Taste is citrus and hop resin. Medium full mouthfeel with a good amount of bitterness and very well hidden alcohol. Not very complex but very good.

Clear gold. Small white head. Aroma of huge hops- grapefruit rind, subtle other citrus (oranges), pine trees, resin. Sweet pale malt in there, also. Same flavors. Not very complex, but very tasty. Like Mojo on steroids with less tangerine and more grapefruit. Medium/full body, balanced carbonation. Dangerously easy to drink for 10% abv. Very good brew.

Pale gold color with big white head. The taste was mainly citrus grapefruit. Nothing too special just a solid beer.

Had this beer on 4/22/2007. Aroma is a bold hop scent that seems very fresh and a bit citrusy. Color is a pale gold with light carbonation and almost no head. Taste is very hoppy. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with a crisp bite at the end. Finish pulls out of the crispness with a mild malt feel coming on, this is overpowered by a citrus hop flavor that is a bit like grapefruit then ends with a strong bitterness and an aromatic hop flavor. If you like hops try this beer, its full of great hop flavor without over doing it.

This bomber packs an orange and tangerine citrus punch. In the aroma and the taste, and the body colour, and then hop bombs you in the finish, offset by lots of malt. Streaking of lace on the glass is all that’s left, along with a drying throat. An example of amarillo hops. Lots of sweetness to offset the obvious bitterness.

Sample @ EBF, 2/2007. Pours a hazy golden color with a nice frothy head. Aroma is largely citric and hops. Taste is the same; this is basically a pumped-up version of Mojo, and while it is nothing special as IIPA’s go it is very good.
