Medium, white dissipated head with a clear light orange body. Very piney nose with a minty hemp undertone and butteriness. Fresh. Surprisingly tart and very citrus. Thin finish. drewbeerme (2272), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2007 22oz bottle, a few months old. pours a light clear orange with very small white head. nose is pretty weak but grapefruit and piney hops with subtle caramel and alcohol. not very hoppy for a iipa. flavor is pretty mellow but sweet, hoppy, and crisp. not very bitter. nice soft fruity hop flavor. not a hop bomb and i’d be real shocked if this was really 10%abv, tastes like 8. hop flavor is fruity-orange and grapefruit, clean, refreshing, and balanced by caramel malts. mouthfeel is a tad watery. carbination is low-medium. nothing over the top here. just decent iipa. i’ve had a lot worse but this is just sorta boring and seems doesnt do anything that great or new. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 20, 2007 22oz bottle that’s been aging for a few months, poured in a flute. This beer smells and looks like grapefruit juice with a head. The head is thin but leaves nice lacing. As would be expected it’s quite bitter but has a very nice flavor too. It’s not just hops. Maybe the power of suggestion from the appearance and aroma have tricked me but I can taste grapefruit too. The alcohol isn’t pushy or blatant but sits in the background and makes you smile. Great job Boulder! Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2007 Light bronze colour. Grapefruit, wood, cedar, maybe even ginger. Somewhat thin for the style - maybe the thinnest I’ve had yet. The hop bitterness is mellow but it’s the main component here. Some nice fruity character but lacks the malt to back it up. cbkschubert (1966), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 19, 2007 22 oz. bottle via trade with PhillyBeer2112 - Pours a clear orangish-golden color with a half finger thick white head. Light, thin lacing. Has a big citrus (oranges) hop aroma. Flavor is big citrus hops. Taste like Orange Juice, but not as tart. Alcohol is well hidden. No unpleasant aftertastes. Medium body. An excellent 2IPA. Hope Boulder produces this on a regular basis. Thanks Dan. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Lotsl of pine and some grapefruit in the aroma. Hazy orange with a decent white head. Full palate. Tons of grapefruit and a nice hop bitterness. Just enough malt to carry the hops. Very, very good. Not a hint of that 10%. valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 16, 2007 Cloudy orange pour with a very strong citrus aroma along with some grassy and bready scents...very appealing! Thick white head lasts a while. Flavor is all hops...no, wait, its malt...abrupt changes on the palate, and very intriguing. Hop flavor is good and strong, and a nice bitterness is left on the aftertaste. Not a quick drinker, but appealing to enjoy over an extended evening!
