| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 12 oz, guest bottle poured into a czech pils glass at Lunar Brewing. The color was medium amber, followed by a foamy and bubbly off white head that left some nice, curtain-like foamy lacing. The aroma was sweet candied tropical fruit, citrus, and smooth malt. The flavor continued the experience with a more creamy nature to the malt, fruit sweetness of pineapple and citrus, and a pleasant, strong grapefruit and resin bitterness. A hint of soapiness was detected but was negligible. A very potent and flavorful DIPA. stobbe74 (700), Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 4, 2009 pours a crisp golden with minimal white head. aroma is bursting with hops and citrus. lots of pine works its way around the slightest breath of malt. drinks very smooth for 10% but has a bitter piny hop bite upfront and followed very quickly with bitter citrus notes. the malt in this is weaker then i would have liked to finish it off, but it did hold well. very drinkable double Birdiebeagle (783), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear amber with a good off white head. The head laces well and seems to last pretty good also. Has a good aroma of pine and citrus. Has a good flavor nice hoppiness with a lot of bitter. Has good carbination, and a nice mouthfeel. Has a medium body. The alcohol is very well hidden. Has an oily texture. A solid finish and a good aftertaste. This is a darn good DIPA. I like it hophead21112 (117), Louisville (LEWISville), Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Pub pour with no head... is there a magic word that I need to know to get a decent pour these days? I digress. Would be a white head, decent lace. Copper in color. Citrus and pine on the nose. Average mouthfeel, medium to low body and proper carbonation. Grapefruit and a touch of malty sweetness to provide the defense against the hoppy offensive. This is a good IPA... not enough malt or hop for this to be called a DIPA, though. coharahawk (87), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Pour is amber with smooth appearing off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma is fairly present at first and fades away pretty fast. Smell of crisp hops, small amount of citrus, malt, and a little bit of alcohol. Flavor is a little less pleasing. The aroma had my hopes quite high. Starts out very sweet and syrupy. Finishes with moderately bitter hops. Not as much floral and citrus notes as I would have liked. I don’t think this is super fresh though. Still, I don’t mind this beer at all and will probably get it again, as I live in a black hole of DIPA’s right now. JaBier (1200), Capital City, Ohio, USA

Cloudy amber pour with a big off-white head. Crisp citrus hop aroma with a nice malt balance. Flavor of raw potato, citrusy hops, malt and a touch of alcohol.
