Only 120 precious barrels were brewed, adding more than half a ton of extra malt and twice the amount of Amarillo hops, so prepare your self for a full sensory explosion. The double dry-hop addition elevates the grapefruit-like aroma and flavor to an outrageous intensity, while the added malt raises the alcohol level from 7% all the way to 10% by volume.

Not one of the more hoppy Imperial IPAs, this one seems to emphasize the sweet malt more than the hops. In fact, the malts are quite sweet, very caramely, somewhat toasty, and lightly earthy in the finish, while the hops are heavily weighted toward orange citrus and sweet pine, but only moderate in bitterness. Itís a fairly fruity beer as well, showing ripe stone and tropical fruits and orange marmalade. The nose is also sweet-smelling, fruity, caramely, and quite toasty. On the palate, the beer is full bodied and a bit sugary, but the carbonation is on the low side, and itís clearly not brewed to full dryness. The beer pours very hazy and golden-orange in color, with a thin sheet of off-white head that fades to a thin ring. Overall, this is a tasty and enjoyable beer, but itís sweet and caramely, so if you like íem dry and very hoppy, this probably shouldnít be high on your list to seek out.

12oz pour into tulip. Clear orangy gold colour. About 1 finger of head, light lacing. Big pine, orange aroma. Also slightly floral, hint of alcohol. Very smooth going down. Bitter. Taste of alcohol is well hidden. A solid double IPA that Iíll look for in the future.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a thick frothy head. Subtle, hoppy aroma. Strong, grapefruit and tart taste. Dry hoppy finish. You can definitely sense the power in this one. Really good brew,

On tap at Brews Brothers in Madison. Orange gold cot with nice white head. Very floral aroma. This beer has an amazing floral and slightly tropical flavor. Sweet malt comes through as it warms. Long bitter finish with a strong oily feel. Warms well. Very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft into a baby tulip - nose is citrus and caramel. Sip adds grapefruit with an almost rye aftertaste. Light body at first whilst sipping but gets heavier shortly afterwards. I have stopped commenting on appearance for a long time but this lacing is phenomenal. Odd.

Great amber pour with a perfect frothy head. Great fresh aroma. Super fresh citrus flavor with a strong grapefruit emphasis - super bitter! Iím not a big fan of bitter (so I marked it down a little) but they definitely did it well with this one!

Tap at Ale House. Pours copper brown with a big off white head. Aroma is grains, citrus, pineapple. Taste has some caramel, pineapple and citrus up front, which leads to a strong grassy bitterness in the finish.

12 ounce bottle. Deep honey gold color. Large bubbly beige head. Light grainy toasted malt aroma. Toasted malt flavor has bittersweet backdrop and sweet malt flavor. Canít get it out of my head, like ELO!? Hard to believe this is 10% ABV. Great clinging lace. I want to go play a Doorís record and look at the label. All in all, a nice DIPA.

Not too bad but a bit light on the IPA taste, light scent and ok taste that fades fast, nothing bad to say but nothing really stands out either ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
