Bright golden yellow, spectacular sheets of lacing. Pineapple grapefruit citrus aroma, a little bit of sweet too. Palate is full and smooth, carbonation in bottled version is soft. Taste is very bright - lot’s of tropical hoppiness and a thinner sweetness running around in the background - I really liked the balance of flavors in this. Ya know, i ended up liking this beer even though it had a few flaws that i thought were pretty bad. However, I think i over-rated it due to its ease of drinkability. pours bright orange with a fluffy white head. nose of tangerines all over the place-huge orange/tangerine bomb here for shure. a faint note of tropical fruit. flavors are citrus all around-not much else, just lots of juicy orange and lemon notes. really not complex in the slightest. 10%? WHERE? its nowhere to be seen. This thing drinks so easy, which makes me want to have it again. some light metallic notes on the finish which detract from the overall enjoyment here. still, a decent IIPA. baggio (199), norrtälje, Sweden

Feels like a lighter version of hopslam. I’d like a case of this soon.

Poured a dark orange cloud, nice fluffy head and some lacing. Smell is of lots of citrus, with oranges lemons and a bit of grapefruit, with just a touch of pine trees as well. There’s a some hints of bread dough malts in the background, along with a little bit of a sugary aroma. There’s absolutely no hint of the 10.5% ABV at all. Taste; this is a bit more piney upfront than it was in the aroma, with the citrus being secondary, with oranges and lemons. Nice brew. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Fairly nice nose of ctirus, with orange, pineapple, and then some light pine as well. Taste is really sweet caramel, with some tastes of citrus, and a lingering finish of bitter grapefruit peel and pine. Fairly full mouthfeel, not bad. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Pours a golden amber color and keeps a thin head for the duration of the pour. The aroma is more malt than hop. The taste is not as hoppy as I would have expected. The smack of the hops that I was expecting was somewhat overshadowed by the sweetness of the malts. The balance is more towards the malt side than I prefer in a DIPA. The alcohol is well-masked though and this is an easy drinker. A good but not outstanding DIPA. I actually preferred it’s Mojo sibling.
