Another underwhelming beer. Ok aroma and flavor, but nothing distinguishing about it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nitro tap sampler at The BeerHive in Pittsburgh and a 12 oz bottle at home from Giant Eagle. Not much difference between the two. Crisp for sure, but could have had more punch on the spices. Smooth going down with a pleasant aftertaste.

Aroma: Barely there just a little citrusy. I expected caramel but I cannot sense it Appearance: This is a nice looking beer. Pours red/brown with a nice frothy head Taste: Heavy on the sweetness with just a little caramel flavor Palate: full bodied oily texture Overall: Not very drinkable - too sweet with an odd finish

Bottle poured a clear amber hue w/ large lasting beige head and sticky lacing. Moderate to bold spicy sweet aromas. Initial flavor is mild sweet w/ a mild bitter finish. Tastes are vanilla, light roast malts, rye, pine, grass, orange, and lemon. Medium bodied, average carbonation, watery mouthfeel, and a clean finish.

Best before February 5, 2014.
Appearance: This is one of the most beautiful looking beers I’ve ever seen. The body is clear with a hue that would leave me convinced it were cranberry juice if it didn’t have a head. The head is short, but dense with good retention and a khaki color.
Aroma: The aroma has decent strength, leaning mildly spiced. I get a prominent dark fruit aroma, it actually reminds me a bit of cranberry with a dry dark fruit presence. Backing it is a sort of non-descript malt base with mild spices that I can’t pick out.
Taste: The body is a bit watery, overlying it are mild spices and a mild fruitiness. Nothing is very prominent until the finish where, I believe, nutmeg dries out the beer with a dry dark fruit presence. This is pretty bland, though not offensive.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: This beer is not bad, but it’s not really enjoyable. The flavor is pretty watery and everything is very subtle. I’m not sure what they were going for but I will pass on this in the future.
