Commercial Description:
Oak-aged oatmeal stout as dark in color as deep space. Again Obovoid on oak adds earthy character to the roasted notes and bittersweet chocolate finish derived from the black and chocolate malts.

Bottle. Medium sized semi-fizzy tan head with a fair amount of lacing, very little carbonation observed, mostly opaque with a little light coming through, and a black hue. The aroma consisted of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some oak and vanilla. The flavor was malt, chocolate, roasty, coffee, vanilla, oak, lightly bitter, and semi-dry. Tingly mouthfeel and medium bodied. Very quaffable, easy to drink, not complex, decent for the style even though there are much better to be had, and worthy of a try.

Another one shared form the generous cellar of xnoxhatex. The black body was topped with a khaki head. Quality coffee smells come out with some hints of wood. There was also a little bit of walnut. The taste was fairly straight forward with strong coffee notes. Lots of roast and raisins finish this one out. Nicely done.

22oz bomber from discount liquor, Milwaukee. Opaque black body with creamy, pancake head, some lacing. Smokey, roasty aroma with subtle sweetness, big coffee, chocolate. Cold coffee, roasted malt flavor, a little cherry, very dried out, it actually dries out my tongue. Medium body and nice carbonation. Really interesting, more coffee flavor than anything else, there is some oak, but not a whole lot.

Breakfast in a bottle. A roasty aroma. Quite a bit of vanilla in this. Some hoppiness in the finish. Light color. pretty good overall.

Thank you Tom/After4ever. It’s black with a red hue and a huge, creamy, light brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, light vanilla and oak. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, light vanilla and oak before it ends with a slightly burnt bitterness and a citrussy dryness. It could have been stronger in the oak note and could have been more complex, but I like it anyhow!

Pours a dark brown with a light brown, but small head. No aroma to speak of except perhaps a light caramel sweetness. Rather thin stout flavor. Good, but not very assertive. This is good, but not imperial.

Nice thick brown head of fine and dense bubbles. Rich and roasty aroma with lots of roasted granis, milk chocolate, cherry cordial and some other dark fruit. Very dark port brown in color. Loads of roasted grains again, bitter dark chocolate, raisins and a touch of alcohol. The alcohol is more prominent than expected for a 7.5% ABV. Finishes roasty with some bitterness and roastyness. A pretty good stout.

22oz from Warehouse Beverage, Cleveland Heights. Fizzy pour, opaque, and a fairly crisp head. The oak is present in the nose, and comes across as fairly one-dimensional vanilla. Initial sips promise a nice integration between the barrel aging and the chewy roasts of the oatmeal. But funnily enough it gets less complex as it warms, first syrupy and then quite thin and anonymously malty. After a strong start, it’s a disappointing finish.
