Commercial Description:
Oak-aged oatmeal stout as dark in color as deep space. Again Obovoid on oak adds earthy character to the roasted notes and bittersweet chocolate finish derived from the black and chocolate malts.

Super dark and a bit thick on the pour with an off white dense head. Aroma is sweet with bittersweet chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet and has a balanced bitter roast. Some caramel, molasses and wood, vanilla. Nice body.

Nice dark stout, with a solid chocolate body, and a little hint of earthy barley notes. Fairly smooth, with little carbonation. Good, but not extraordinary.

Bottled@Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Quite much black colour, small brown head. Aroma is caramel, mild sugary notes as well as some roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour is caramel, burnt sugar, some slight roasted malts as well as coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Also some rather wooden notes in the finish.

Bottle from sahara mart. Pours dark black with brown edge. Nose is roasted malt and chocolate, some earthy oak. Flavor is a little on the carbonated side almost to the point of distraction. Nose components are there, but it’s a little light and empty. Lacking a big punch and creamy smoothness. The taste is overall pretty good, and I have nothing to really complain about, just not superb. i guess if anything I would ask for more oak.

Bottled. A very dark red beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of alcohol and oatmeal, as well as medium notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, oatmeal, soy sauces, and alcohol, leading to a bitter, roasted, oatmeal finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
