Tap at Victoria’s in Maryland. Black, pours like a Guinness, but tastes much better. Typical nitro head. Mouthfeel like Guinness also. Smoky edge, not over the top. Decent.

Pours a surprisingly clear, dark & deep red body with silky lacing. Smells thick of charred wood, chocolate and molasses. There is a creamy mouth feel, with a dry hop front and roasted malts. Notes of cocoa, some nutty flavors, and an earthy background are complex and satisfying. Finishes with a nice bitter dark chocolate aftertaste. Surprisingly drinkable for this type of brew.

A pretty nice stout, I think fair to call it a dry stout on the strongish side. Characterized by strongly roasted malt aromas and flavors, with a background of coffee and bitter chocolate. Medium-full mouthfeel, easy dry finish. Good partner to grilled shrimp as it turned out.

Talllahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 22 oz bottle. Black as tar pour with some purple accents, devoid of light coming through. Sticky, but thin mocha colored head. Aroma of faint coffee, some prunes, pleasant. Full bodied dry stout flavor. Some baker’s unsweetened chocolate, day old black coffee and hints of pipe tobacco - finishes with some fresh topsoil. Thickish creamy mouthfeel. Overall, very decent stout.

Bottled. A very dark red beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of alcohol and oatmeal, as well as medium notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, oatmeal, soy sauces, and alcohol, leading to a bitter, roasted, oatmeal finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

reddish tinged dark brown, very thick head, heavy retention. Nose is very nice, dark chocolate, cocoa, Very creamy palate and mouthfeel. Taste is milk chocolate. Not a lot of complexity to this stuff, but still, very smooth, very creamy, very enjoyable.

This bottled brew from Indianapolis poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored long lasting bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body was semi opaque with a dark ruby red brown color and soft carbonation. The aroma contained notes of caramel and chocolate. The palate was thick with a medium hop aftertaste ans was mildly tingly from start to finish. It had a chocolate dark malt brown malt hop flavor which I found to be very yummy.

Had this at a UPick6 Tasting....Plastic cups. Dark black pour with a nice tan head.Dark chocolate malt and oat aroma, don’t really get much oak. Smooth, medium bodied, bittersweet chocolate flavor with a hint of burnt coffee and a touch of alcohol. Once again I don’t get too much oak in the flavor, but it makes an appearance on the finish.
I need to buy this by the bottle, I think it would be a great beer, and I would re-rate.
