On draft. Pours a deep black, creamy white head. Taste is sweet chocolate, a bit much on the sweet side, but overall not too bad.

Tap. Dark black pour, rich 1/2 inch head and an aroma of bakers chocolate. Flavor is rich dark chocolate a little sweet lactose sugar and a little peat on the aftertaste. Really nice.

Had on draft at Old Chicago. Pours a dark brown with a decent and lingering white head. Chocolate, sweetness and burnt malts predominate. Nicely balanced and not cocoa overpowering. Liked it!

Draft at Old Chicago, Southgate. Pours a dark brown color with a 1 cm head that lingers a good while. This smells almost exactly like chocolate milk. Taste is very much like chocolate milk too with just a touch of light roasted malt. Medium body and creamy mouthfeel. Really good beer for fans of chocolate milk.

Draft at Ol Chi Rockford. Pours black with a good bit of dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate milk with a hint of coffee. Pretty sweet stuff, but not so sweet that I couldn’t drink it all night...because I totally could.

Kinda flat, but otherwise this is a great cocoa porter...they have managed to avoid the common problem of cloying sweetness and have a well balanced flavor between the burnt malts and the chocolate...very enjoyable

My word, had a glass at old Chicago, tastes like someone poured a Sunday’s work path of Hersey’s in the glass and stirred. I feel like I shouldn’t like, but such a guilty pleasure. The malt and the a bit of sharpness, with the hint of alcohol warmth make this a very drinkable beer. I need to share this with a non-craft beer drinking friend,

Tap. Pours a rich dark brown with a creamy head. Chocolate tones come through in the scent and follow through in a deliciously chocolatey but not too sweet taste. Finishes with a slightly bitter coffee taste. Really good.
