UPDATED: AUG 21, 2012 Draft at winners circle. Pours clear copper with minimal head. Aroma is mildly yeast driven. Taste is very good and just needs a kick from the aroma. This is one of the better american style saisons i’ve had flavorwise.

This poured an almost cleary straw yellor color with a white head. Very flat looking for a saison. Aroma was mild yeast and spice notes, some light fruits, and mild hair salon notes as well. Flavor was much the same, not as subdued as I was expecting from the aroma, decent flavor but nothing amazing. So So.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a medium, fizzy off-white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is light fruity esters, spicy and earthy hops, pepper notes with straw and cereal malt. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and light bitterness, Belgian yeast esters and a dry finish. Medium to light body and medium carbonation.

On draft at the Boulder Beer Airport Pub. Pours a light clear orange with a white head. Nose is some sweet malt, some and some light tartness. Flavor is similar- sweet in the front and dry on the back end with yeast and tart grapes (?) in there, too. Light in body and not really my style saison.

On tap at Old Chicago Westminster poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of straw, citrus, spice and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, citrus and spice with a crisp dry finish.

Very surprised with this beer. Typically I like the traditional saisons and this is pretty close. Decent aroma with sour malted notes and spice. The spice carries over to the palate, hitting first, then subsiding to yeasty-citrus notes before coming back for the finish. Worth a try.

Pour on tap at old chicago, hazy orange with lacing white head, aroma brings notes of sweet white grape, pear, slight biscuit, spice notes, touch of pepper. Taste is a bit grainy, fairly nice grape and pear, hints of biscuit, lots of yeast and white pepper notes, touch of earth and dry honey.
