COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perfect companion any way you pass time, this British-style pale ale is exceptionally soft and sweet compared with highly hopped American-style pale ales. The hop subtlety, distinct malt character and rich caramel color of Pass Time Pale Ale work together to create a smooth, lightly carbonated ale.

Aubrey (3192) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - NOV 5, 2001
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2003 Clear and gold-copper in color. All right head. A little chewy on the tongue, but not cloying. Hops and malts seem strong on the front end, then kind of fade. Some bitterness & sourness lingers. Carbonation level is low, making it kind of soft and creamy. Sweetness (honey/Danish) does seem overriding, but it's not too bad. Flowery hops complement the sweetness nicely, and they add a nice aroma, overall, to the beer. Only detected a mild bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. A little mild and moderate overall, but not bad. I wished for just a little more 'oomph.'

Indra (2361) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - MAY 19, 2001
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2005 Fruity, nutty aroma, some citrus and honeyish sweetness with lighter suggestions of pine and banana (oddly). Clear light-medium copper color with a slight, fine head. Flavor is predominantly malty and sweet, some caramel and faint toastiness, finishing with notes of bubblegum and some rather slight bitterness. Light-medium body, palate is on the watery side. Sort of a strange one, particularly for a supposed English Pale.

Well balanced. Slight malt taste with a noce hop flavour. This would be a decent beer despite the legally required ABW(3.2%), which really holds this beer back.

Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - SEP 21, 2000
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2003 The color on the pour a transpicuous copper color, the head modest and it evaporates quickly, the lace left behind a patchy sheet, color and off white. The nose is malt sweet, crisp and clean with the start sweet and malt-laden, and the top skeletal in its feel. Finish is mildly acidic with the hops bite minimal and the aftertaste dry, another average beer much as I expected, but I always hold out hope they will produce a winner.
