COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perfect companion any way you pass time, this British-style pale ale is exceptionally soft and sweet compared with highly hopped American-style pale ales. The hop subtlety, distinct malt character and rich caramel color of Pass Time Pale Ale work together to create a smooth, lightly carbonated ale.

Amber-copper color with a big head on the pour, this pale ale has a slight sweet maltiness and small dry finish. Unremarkable.

Copper in color. Not much noticeable aroma...definitely English-style. Smooth malt character but light. Leaves you thirsting for another sip. Notes: Brewery visit during GABF

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2011 Re-rating and upping the score. The hops profile in this is not the most pleasant - a little sour - but downing the rest of the six pack with various meals during the week (especially Sunday breakfast) helped me better appreciate the taste.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Medium amber brew with thin white head. Aroma of sweet malts. Taste is just off the mark - very honey-like sweet at the start breaking into a nice hops bitterness that holds promise but descends into a sour grassey mess at the finish. that final sour hops slug is really rather unpleasant. Nice palate. Distinctive but I’ll pass on this in the future.

Color of honey, aroma of cardboard. Flavor starts off with a nice, sweet, honey ting, little bit of caramel malt, and then dirty dishwater emerges. This is gross. Bottle from Midtown Wine & Spirits, Nashville.

This poured a copper color with a minimal white head. The aroma contains some caramel, toffee, and floral notes. The flavor is rather malty with some caramel, toffee, and a hint of lemons. The finish is rather sweet. Here you have it folks, they did the EPA spot on but I dont care for the style too much.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a bright burnt orange. Head is minimal and unremarkable. Sweet nose of caramel malt and some hops. Sweet toffee taste with minimal bitterness in the finish. Grassy and earthy hops come through the more you drink the beer, but it’s the malts that are the real star. If it had more hops going on, this thing could be astronomical. As it is, it’s simply quite good. That’s not a bad thing.

On tap @ brewery. Smelled like a copper penny. Pretty mild body with a bland and unimaginative taste. Crisp and dry finish, so its easy to drink but not very tasty.

Clear orange, light off white ring. Aroma is light fruity malt, caramel, sweet, light metal, some hop bitter notes. Taste is more metallic malt sweetness, some apple, hops are fruity but nondescript, a bit watery.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an orange copper color with thin gray film. Aroma of english barley, butter, malts, cherry. Taste is sort of a mix of these flavors but more bland, with a rather uninspiring finish, slightly metallic. Medium bodied and slightly watery. Not horrible but for the same price you can just get better beers.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Toffee like malty sweet aroma. The flavor has sweeter malts with some light earthy hops. Ok.

Clear amber with thick frothy off-white head and significant lacing. Malt aromas with a touch of floral. Balanced taste with a slight edge to the malt, but not overly so. Crisp and slightly fizzy. A nice pale ale if you’re not into the hoppy ones.
