COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perfect companion any way you pass time, this British-style pale ale is exceptionally soft and sweet compared with highly hopped American-style pale ales. The hop subtlety, distinct malt character and rich caramel color of Pass Time Pale Ale work together to create a smooth, lightly carbonated ale.

Dark yellow with a amber-brownish tone in its color, finger high head of off-white creamy froth, faded fast, leaves some stringy lace. Smell is mostly sweet caramel malts with a small hint of floral hops and honey sweetness. Taste is a near perfect reflection of the smell with lots of sweet lightly sugary caramel malts with a touch of soft floral hops and honey. Damn good and scrumptious, but where's the hops if this is a pale? This is a nearly all malt pleasure. Feel is medium body, buttery smooth, very small twinge located near the finish. Super drinkable, I already crave another, but as a pale/bitter, if that is indeed its intent, it needs more hops and bitterness, but man, its still very yummy. Session material for sure.

i read some of the number on the other reviews. And I’m shocked - This beer is an excellent example of an english pale ale. It’s smooth and sweet - and malty not overly hoppy. If you like seirra’s pale ale you’ll HATE this.

This beer is a cloudy amber with a small, dense, white head. Excellent lacing. The aroma is of fresh pine and sweet caramel-- maybe some berries. On the palate, it’s smooth, fizzy, and medium-light. It’s well bittered. The tart tenor malt and fruity yeast blend well with the bitterness. It’s a bit heavy to be a session ale.

Color is a clear and bright orange. Lots of carbonation. Unstable puffy head. Clear but doesn’t appear watery. Nice smell of a slightly pale pub ale. Sweet bready malt with a hint of paleness. Mild, slightly sweet hop. Very mild and balanced. Taste is an understated pale malt with pleasant mild hops. Quite good. Not bitter at all. The pale malt is a tad chlorine-ish, but also flowery. Pretty good metallic aftertaste. It’s thicker than expected. Dry on the tongue. Dances a bit. Champagne feel to some degree. Overall it’s a nicely balanced pale ale. Not too bitter, not too pale. Pretty darn good.

Malty and nice. It seems the guys at Rockies Brewing like to make an underhopped, heavily malted brew. Which is exactly the type I like to drink most of the time. Very nice.

I liked. Big head, fruity maltiness in nose and flavor. I didn’t think that this was like most pales, it didn’t have the standard cascade hoppiness that I’m growing weary of. Hints of chocolate with some very slight mintiness in the finish. Not too bad, but it could have been labeled as a ’red ale’ and but for the color, I wouldn’t have known the difference.

Pours clear copper with gold edges and nice quarter inch head. The aroma has a very inviting malty character of roasted malts and toffee along with some citrus and floral hops. The taste is no surprise since it is much like the nose with initial spice hops, citrus hops and carbonation bite that becomes increasingly more floral. Midway the mild roasty malts and toffee malts well up and ride into the after taste with a building malt sweetness. Excellent Pale

This has a sort of fruity/grainy/cereal aroma with mild caramel accents. The body is a bright copper color and the head is fluffy, white as the other white meat and fairly lasting. Fore is low key with a steeped hop/malt feel to it, but with a concentrated melange of caramel malt, fruit compote and lightly citric hops. Sort of a carbonated summer fruit salad, but quite tasty really and fun to drink. This isn’t a style I drink much of, but to me it’s better than most English Pale Ales from England as it is estery without being clying or syrupy and it has some hop balance. I should have tried this a long time ago. No one element is that amazing, but the combined effect is pretty damn pleasing.
