Medium to heavy body. Thick, mostly dark chocolate flavor with some sweetness that tapers off at the end. Some coffee as well.

On tap at Rattle N Hum, July 2012. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, coffee and some fruit. Medium mouth feel and easy to drink.

pours very dark brown with a thin tan head and great lacing. aroma is smokey with bitter hop notes, chocolate and coffee. taste is bitter chocolate with a hint of coffee beans. finish is oddly fruity.

substantial enough moderate body with some sweetness and flavor of burnt coffee with hints of chocolate. smooth with frothy head that has body. straight malt flavor without the need for an added gimmick.

Bottle. Pours black with a smallish tan head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, a touch of coffee, some earthy hops. Flavor is roasted malt, lots of coffee, some chocolate. Some burnt malt, but all in all, pretty smooth. Long sweet finish. Medium mouthfeel.

Drank on a hot July 4th...Aroma of chocolate, malt, and a hint of fruit. Good body no after taste or heavy finish. Easy to drink

On draft at the Denver Airport Boulder Brewing Pub. Pours a nice dark brown with an off-tan head. Nose is some light roast, some coffee, and some dark chocolate. Flavor is roast, subdued coffee, and some dark chocolate. Light in body and pretty good.

Draft at Hangar. Pours dark brown with about a finger of off-white head. Aroma of roasty chocolate with a small dose of coffee. Taste is light bitter. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. True to style but nothing really stands out.

Deep mahogony brown in color with a small bit of head. Roasty-coffee nose. Defined coffee flavor as well with a roast finish, though light on the palate.

Aroma is chocolate, malts, earthiness and a hint of fruit. The flavor is dark malts, a mix of red and dark fruit and a mildly tart, smooth finish.
