This is way a porter should be in my opinion. Big and robust, no time for messing around. Something serious in this beer. Dark brownish black colour with a full frothy head. Creamy and nutty, rich roasted malts on the nose with some toasted oats as well. Taste has that little hotness from the alcohol. but its so balanced and so pleasent. Thanks Brandon for the good beer!

Tap at the Denver Airport tap house. Dark, dark brown...almost black. Creamy beige head that sticks around forever and coasts the glass. Cocoa nose. Taste is roasty...coffee and smoke. Palate is kind of weak.

Pours black with a significant brown head. Aroma is a little weaker than most porters I’ve tried, but it seems to include peat, earthy tones, and a hint of plum or licorice sweetness. Taste follows along, including alcohol in the beginning. The aftertaste is just a little sweet and lingers for quite a while.

Great beer. Had off a nitrous tap which made it very creamy. The taste was great.

Black pour with brown edges. Creamy tan head is big after pour but settles down after a few miutes. Mild chocolate and some coffee in the aroma. Nice stuff. Flavor is smooth chocolate with a nice coffee bitter finish. Nice porter.

Old Chicago Pizza, Roseville, Mn. - 12 oz bottle. Dark black pour, thick, creamy mocha head. Pleasant earthy aroma, coffee, chocolate. Flavor has more of the same - not too sweet though - just the right amount of bitterness. Some good roasted notes with just the right amount of chalkiness. Mouthfeel is slightly oily - in a good way. Adds to the creaminess and thickness. Really enjoyed this one.

It’s black. It’s opaque. It has a creamy head. This looks like a pretty good porter. It has a promising aroma of malt and coffee. Solid roasted grain flavor with overtones of chocoloate and coffee. Good hop balance. Nice aftertaste. Subsequent sips seemed to be a bit watery.
