COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our twist on the traditional american porter, Shake chocolate porter is black in color with rich, dark chocolate aromatics and flavors and subtle coffee-like notes. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouth feel.

On draft. My first impression when I smelled this was "that smells like hot chocolate." My second impression, after I drank some of it, was "that tastes like alcoholic chocolate milk." This is so chocolatey, smooth, and milky that if you stuck this in a Nesquick box no one would notice that you were drinking at an elementary school basketball game.

Pours very dark, has a nice creamy head. This creaminess was in part because I had the Nitro pour at the brewery in Boulder. It has a wonderfully smooth feel and finish with a slight note of coffee, but the overall notes are chocolate that linger on the pallet. It's great to sip and just enjoy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Cafe Sara, july 3rd 2015. Black body with a medium brown head. Aroma is malty with a roasty edge, some cocoa notes. Taste of coffee, malt and a choclate taste that resembles what one would find in a norwegian "advent calendar" - which Iím afraid isnít exactly the best chocolate around. Except from that it is a well crafted and smooth porter.†

Beer of month club offering. Pours a dark, dark brown with fluffy tan head that leaves a film when receding. Nose is definitely some chocolate. Taste is some chocolate, coffee, roasted malts with a very bitter backbone present from start to finish. Really liked the mouthfeel - very creamy. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Chocolate chocolate chocolate. This beer is like drinking a big class of chocolate milk. Smooth mouthfeel and nice nose. Good beer for a one and done.

Beer club bottle into stout glass. Looks like it should. Chocolate aroma w hints of vanilla and perhaps bourbon? Similar taste. V mild coffee notes on the aftertaste. Mouthfeel has a touch of something sharp on the front but overall pretty smooth and creamy. Decent ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 13, 2016 Draft at Misconduct. Opaque dark brown/black pour that showed clear on the edges. Impressive tight beige top. Vast sheets of extraordinary lace. Starts smooth but the body thins quickly. Roasted hazelnuts and Brazil Nuts. Creamy at the top. A Hershey?s malted milk chocolate cocoa. Chai latte. Mocha frappuccino. Not bad but hard to get overly excited over.

Great looking beer.. was a bit underwhelmed, given all the great reviews. Didnít seem that creamy or shake-like.. just a thin porter with some bitter dark chocolate notes.
