Our twist on the traditional american porter, Shake chocolate porter is black in color with rich, dark chocolate aromatics and flavors and subtle coffee-like notes. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouth feel.

Very good for a chocolate beer. A good choice to introduce someone to the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz into tulip. Almost black color with 1" beige head which slowly dissipates leaving some moderate lacing. Aroma is malty with strong notes of sweet chocolate shortly after pour, then fading out a bit, leaving way to some light roasted notes. Taste is light to medium sweet with maybe a touch of bitterness toward the finish. Taste is malty with a light roast and notes of dark chocolate. Medium bodied beer with a fairly thin but lightly creamy texture. Average carbonation. Smooth, somewhat lingering finish. Overall enjoyable beer if you like chocolate porters. Basically and average beer for the style.

Black with rich and persistent tan head. sweet taste of chocolate shake. It was a dessert in a pint, which was exactly what I was looking for after a nice dinner.

Bottle shared with my wife. Pours a deep black with a medium to large tan head. Sweet milk chocolate and a bit of cocoa on the nose, a touch nutty on the back end. Medium bodied, roast and sweetness, dries out for a touch, picks up some malt. Cocoa and almost a hint of peanut butter on the finish. Sweet and roasty.
