Dark mahogony. Creamy head. Heavy cocoa tootsie roll aroma. Brownie/ cookie. Taste is full malty. A lot of tootsie. Foamy is like a shake, some artificial flavor. Not very portery.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served on nitro... Dark and opaque, but not too sweet or too much chocolate; smooth semi-sweet chocolate with a nutty/roasty finish; chocolate was mostly like the chocolate malt kind with some roasted malt notes, very well-balanced; medium body, VERY creamy and smooth; definitely tastes like a beer and not a sweet, chocolate shake; this is a nicely conceived and well-executed beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black color and topped by a small layer of tan colored foam that quickly settles to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of darkly roasted malts, sweet milk and dark chocolate, vanilla, a touch of cream, and some earthy roast. The flavor follows with the milk and dark chocolate up front to go with vanilla cream, dark malts, and some earthy roast bitterness on the back end to add some balance. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and smooth carbonation that leads to a lingering finish of roast and chocolate. Nice and tasty chocolate Porter.

(draft @ Zebbís Deluxe Grill & Bar - Rochester, NY) Dark black pour with a creamy tan head. Chocolate, cocoa and coffee in the aroma. Flavor is like a really smooth chocolate milkshake. Mocha and vanilla abound with a smooth and sweet chocolate finish. [1/6/16]

First of all, this must be unreal dispensed with Nitro on tap!
Aroma: Malted milkshake or leche malteada as we call it down here in Miami. Or like biting into some Whoppers! Thatís actually exactly what itís like. Smells like a box of Whoppers. Totally incredible. Smells like sweet chocolate and malt. A touch of cinnamon also.
Appearance: Very dark brown color with a substantial tan, leaving lots of lacing. Head retention appears to be excellent.
Taste: Upon entry it briefly tastes like a chocolate milkshake. Slightly sweet and no bitterness is felt at all.
Palate: The only part it came up a little short. This is where the bitterness that is there comes out the most. The aroma put this beer up so high in the sky that the palate evened things out a bit. On any beer, this would be an exceptional thing. Medium bodied, very smooth finish. Soft carbonation, slightly bitter finish. A truly amazing example of American greatness.
