COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our twist on the traditional american porter, Shake chocolate porter is black in color with rich, dark chocolate aromatics and flavors and subtle coffee-like notes. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouth feel.

Tasted from bottle. Pours almost black with beige head. Almost looks like a cola. Good lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate with coffee. Taste is moderately sweet with mild bitterness. Nice chocolate flavor with some creamy milky sweetness along with coffee notes. Sweet on fairly light on the palate. Great and interesting tasting porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown with deep garnet hues. Nose of dark chocolate nibs, light coffee and cream and faint coffee. Flavor is rich dark chocolate that fades to light bitter roast/unsweetened chocolate. Lingering chocolate and roast. Reminds me of Moo Hoo. Light. Good!

Dark, smells strongly of chocolate, medium body, creamy, fairly sweet. It was really good but I wouldn’t want to drink more than one.

Got two bottles as a gift. As the label suggests, there is a hint of chocolate on the nose. slight smell of play-doh? Good bitterness and really smooth mouthfeel. Super small bubbles for the head. Slightly warming effect from the alcohol. Solid porter in a 12oz. bottle.

[Tap] Jet black pour with a brown colored nitro foam head on top. Sweet and chocolaty aromas. Flavors of Belgian milk chocolate, cream, mocha, earthy hops and vanilla. Creamy consistency. Coating mouthfeel. A tad on the sweet side, but the flavors come together very well. Good stuff. Tasting notes from 8/2014.

Opaque, vey dark copper, nitro mousse. Light body, moderate flavor, good length but dilute finish. Bitter and dry, Unmistakable real chocolate, dark roast grains, missing malty sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Shake pours black with a thick foamy light tan head that lasts a long while. The aroma is dark chocolate and coffee, however, what stands out is that the chocolate smell is the closest to the actual smell that I’ve ever encountered in a beer. The flavor is dark chocolate with small amounts of coffee and caramel. Again, the chocolate flavor is very well done and delicious. Overall this is a solid beer.

Sweet chocolate aroma. Pours black with a very thin tan head. Thin mouth feel. Sweet taste with a hint of mint. No bitter aftertaste. On nitro at Yard House Las Vegas LINQ.

Looks like Porter smells like a chocolate phosphate but was pretty empty on feel. I didn’t get any chewiness or depth. I have a sixer to decide. ain’t no Anchor or Founders though.
