COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our twist on the traditional american porter, Shake chocolate porter is black in color with rich, dark chocolate aromatics and flavors and subtle coffee-like notes. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouth feel.

Sampled @ ChrisO after GBBF day 2. Very dark brown to black color with a deep dark red glare coming through, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, medium to firm chocolate, some roast. Taste malts, chocolate, roasty, bitter. Average to medium body, medium carbonation.

Pours a very dark brown with ruby glitz around the bottom edge of the glass. Giant light caramel colored. Chocolate and light plastic nose. Moderately thick and just the slightest burn. Big chocolate flavor. Bitters out just a fudge (pardon the pun). Very tasty!

Bottle bought at GBBF 2014 at the American Bar. Opaque very dark brown to black, tan head. Nose on this is amazing. Sugary chocolate, lactic. Really like a very sweet and chocolatey milkshake with cocoa dust and a very rich dark chocolatey syrup. Taste is a bit of a letdown though. Very dusty, musty chocolate. Very powdery, sweet sugary, lactic, milky. Bit one dimensional on the flavour and too sweet.

Bottle picked up at GBBF, ’enjoy by 10/14’.Pours a dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is kind of like out of date chocolate candy - a real dusty, fusty mould to it. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Very dusty, fusty, musty chocolate - all old and one-note. Tired and unpleasant. Very poor.

I like chocolate stout most of the time, so this beer started with an advantage. It’s very smooth. Great mouth feel. Medium chocolate flavor. I’ll be on the lookout for this one again.

On tap: The aroma has moderate-heavy cocoa powder with just a hint of roast. It’s a dark brown with some orange highlights when held to the light. It has a two finger creamy beige head that a thick film and leaves a nice sheet of lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy cocoa powder and milk chocolate. The finish has light roasted coffee with a hint of nuts. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.
