COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our twist on the traditional american porter, Shake chocolate porter is black in color with rich, dark chocolate aromatics and flavors and subtle coffee-like notes. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouth feel.

Just a taster at Fox & Hound Aurora, served on nitro. It may be unfair to rate this right after a Not Your Fatherís Root Beer, but letís see how this one goes. Very deep brown, almost black, more like a Stout except the head is a tad lighter. Smell is distinctly of chocolate roast malt more than chocolate addition. But not roasty or astringent. Taste settles more into a sweet Stout neighborhood. Perhaps itís because of the desire to bring in a cocoa character. After a few sips, though, my nose does pick up a sense of chocolate bar. But this actually comes in pretty dry. A little smoother than a roasty stout, a bit more flavor than a porter. That is not a bad position to be in.

I really love this beer, well at least out of a nitrogen tap where it keeps its head because with the head when you put it to your mouth you get the smell of a chocolate milkshake. The taste is really in the combination smell of your mouth and nose at the same time. Light for heavy of a head, easy to drink and far better than a hot chocolate if you are drinking for comfort inside.

On tap at Crescent Moon 4-2-15. Dark brown in glass with a decent tan head of foam and decent lacing. Smells like chocolate milk made from cocoa powder. Taste milk chocolate, slight cherry and roast. Exactly as advertised and tasty.

Opaque black. Negligible beige head. Malt, caramel, mild roast, rich dark chocolate, and vanilla aroma. Relatively mid bodied for a porter. Silky texture. Chocolate flavour is extremely pronounced along with mild roast, malt and caramel. Very well executed.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a big chocolate milk. Hershey syrup comes to mind. Flavor is another dose of chocolate syrup with a lingering sweetness. Those cacao nibs are really doing their job here b/c you canít get this much chocolate flavor from just the malt alone. Pretty tasty and will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Draught @ Albion. Dark brown with small creamy beige head, chocolate aroma, low carbonation, sweetish chocolate shake taste, thin body, abrupt finish. Feels watery despite the relatively higher alcohol content. Still not bad.

From a bomber, poured into a tall glass stein. Initial aroma of chocolate milk (a la Nesquick.) Pours dark opaque brown with a dark tan head. Delicate lacing. Tastes of chocolate milk and malt, with a very chocolate finish. Mouthfeel is a little thin, though still creamy and appropriate for the flavor.

Bottle. Moderate to heavy toasted and dark chocolate for the malt, light herbs and dough for the yeast, with notes of cola and dust. Head is small, frothy, light beige with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, slick with a lively carbonation and has a lightly alcoholic finish. Nice Porter with a heavy dose of chocolate.

Nice chocolate aroma but not over powering chocolate taste. Very smooth finish. Not a beer you would want to drink multiples at one time, but very enjoyable.
