Jan 8, 2010 in a word, decent. not gonna blow anyone away but it is tasty enough. the bite lingers for a while, i like that. initial taste could have a bit more punch. i will admit, it is getting better the more of it i drink (shocker).

Dec 10, 2009 Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to sicken surface. Butterscotch and sourdough bread aromas. Medium bodied with upfront caramel and a dry finish.

Dec 8, 2009 I guess everyone has a different palate, but I don’t understand the low ratings people give this beer. I buy it by the case. Excellent aroma, great taste. One of the better ales I have tasted. This seems to be Boulder Beer’s strength....ales. Their IPA is good too. Give this product a chance and you will be pleased with your purchase. Solid ale.

Nov 15, 2009 Poured a creamy, foamy head. Transparent with a color a few shades lighter than a penny. Only slight carbonation other than the head. Smell is sweet with a little bit of a hop aroma. Not a lot going on taste wise. Very watery. Only a slight hop flavor that goes away very quickly. Very drinkable due to how light it is, but not very good.

Oct 12, 2009 12 oz bottle - pours a clear copper color with a thin white head and little lacing. Metallic aroma with some hop, caramel and a little citrus. Taste is somewhat thin, with faint hop, malt and sweetness. Goes down pretty easy - not a complex beer by any strech of the imagination.

Pours a dark amber/copper color with golden orange hues when held to a light source and a one finger white head that quickly fades into a lasting ring. Not much in the way of lacing.
Rosted malt aroma with some biscuit and rye notes as well as some subtle floral hops. Kind of bland with not much standing out.
Again the flavor is kind of bland. Slightly watered down with a caramel and rye character with some toasty biscuit notes balanced out by subtle floral hops. There’s nothing special about this beer and seems to be made for drinking in large session rather than a profound sipper.
