3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lovely light copper color with nice head and some lacing. Mild flavors decently balanced. A bit thin in the mouth. clean finish. Not bad with a meal. For my meal at the Denver chop house I liked this a bit more than the APA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light-moderate hoppy aroma with some yeast notes as well. Avg.-sized, fine bubble, creamy, white head with excellent lacing. Head, however, is mostly diminishing. Body is true to the brew's name...copper. Light bitter flavor, nothing outstanding. Good, somewhat doughy finish. Good session beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden in color, nice off-white head with great lacing. Aroma is of grapefruit and malt. Tastes a lot ’darker’ than it looks. Rather hoppy initially, which wanes into sweet malt.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Has an initial bite in the front of your mouth that melts into smoothness as it flows back. Tastes of pears. The smoothness turns into a good bitter edge as it hits the back of your mouth. Has a strong alcoholic taste.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It tasted a little spicy in the back of my throat, slightly sweet aftertaste. Not anything unusual about it though.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2005 How interesting that this is brewed by the Colorado-based brewpub of the Rock Bottom chain. Citric hops but not complicated. A fair effort if you like a hoppy amber ale with a spicy bite. OK. Pleasantly surprised by the amount of malt present.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2004 Very middle of the road. Slight hop, copper color. OK, but nothing out of the ordinary. Re-Rate May 04: noted an odd sour factor and metallic factor. Downgraded.

Lt copper color, small head. Malted rye and roasted malts, some spiciness. There is slight hop bitterness as well, but malt sweetness prevails. Finish is clean and crisp, Aftertaste is sweet, no bitterness
