Nice beer, but what’s with the label? it just looked stupid with those cyclists on it. Very well balanced with a fruits and hops...nice malt finish....I would classify it it as a pale ale from what I tasted....pretty good nonetheless.

Very unique aroma and taste. I swear it smells and tastes like sweetened ice tea. I can’t describe it any other way. I love it. I’m always attracted to beers with a unique character. I’m looking forward to drinking more of this beer!

Re-Rate 06/03/02: Clear amber in color, a nice frothy biege head and good lace. Nose is sweet, malt, caramel, a bit ’Bubble Gummy’. Front is sweet, the top light, the finish is acidic, moderate to high carbonation, lightly hopped, drinkable, and refreshing, decent but not great.

unique flavor...malty with a light hoppy overtone and an apple pie-like finish...interestingly pleasant

Had this in some restaurant in the Denver airport. I gave it a 5 on appearance because the tap had this cool guy on a bike. Watery and weak. Slightly fruity, amber color, average and quickly dissipating head.

Tasty, though a little weak for an ale. Really one of the worst labels i have ever seen on a bottle.

Ernest (6231) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 11, 2002
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (apricot, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Yet another amber quaffing ale from BBC. A snoozer.

NICE MALT, THIS BEER IS PRETTY GOOD, SOMEWHAT HEAVY AFTER 5 OR 6.IT’S A LITTLE BIT BETTER OUT OF THE TAP, THE BOTTLES TEND TO BE A BIT FIZZY. PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST BEERS BREWED IN BOULDER, BUT THAT DOESNT SAY MUCH, NOW DOES IT?
