Golden with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of bready malt, toffee and mild hops. Taste is malty and toffee sweet with a minuscule hop bitterness. Medium bodied and slightly dry.

Bottle... Poured a clear reddish/amber with an off-white head. Very worty with some toasty, toffee sweetness. Definitely a malt forward Amber. Lots of sweetness, some fruity yeast tones and a subtle finish. Ultimately uninteresting but highly drinkable.

A light amber/copper color with some burnt orange highlights around the bottom. Hazy. A white, soapy head with not much size and only average retention and lacing. A rather robust malt tone that brought forth some caramel and some wheat bread. Some sweet, sugary notes similar to a baked pear or baked apple. Some of the earthy, "peat" aromas Iím not real fond of however. Maybe a bit of toffee in there too. The taste is a bit more mild and not as robust, but much better balanced than the smell. Again, some caramel malt with the earthy tone. Some of the sugary notes blend in well. Small tinge of bitterness, but not overbearing. Medium mouthfeel. Rather smooth and dry. Leaves touches on the palate. This beer is ok. Not my favorite, but easily drinkable regardless. That "peat" aroma and flavor gets to me after a bit, but I could still down a couple with relative ease. If you see it, pick it up but donít go out of your way.

A decent cover beer that you can sit around and throw back a bunch of. Nothing ground breaking, just a good beer.

A very average beer. Thereís not much flavor to it, but what flavor there is ends in a kind of cardboard finish.

Dry and hardly any flavor of malt- this is like a Pale Ale that someone forgot to add hops to. Kind of lame. Iím in too much of a hurry to elaborate. bottle from Midtown Wine and Spirits, Nashville, TN

Pours hazier orange with white head, aroma is old sweet biscuit, almost ester-like. Tastes similar to aroma with an odd sweetness, but still fairly enjoyable.

Bottle known to be at least a year old: Dried leaves on the nose, with caramel hints. Clear copper, no head, minimal lacing. Flavor is dried leaves, subtle barley malt finish. Decent and well made, but pretty ordinary.

Pours light amber with a rich beige head and a toffee and pine aroma. There is a substantial caramel malt flavor with sticky hop bitterness and a dry finish.

michael-pollack (4960) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2010
Draught at TJís: Faint malt aroma. Poured amber in color with a creamy, dense, off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of caramel malt, slight dried leaves, slight hops, light toasting, and slight Earth. Medium body. Average texture. Caramel malt, slight Earth, and slight hop finish is a tad dry.
