UPDATED: MAR 7, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (apricot, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Yet another amber quaffing ale from BBC. A snoozer.

Bottle: Transclucent orange, soft sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing, no noticeable carbonation.   Light hop presense, some astrigent malt notes, but also some overcooked vegetables.   Grainy malts, slightly dusty and earthy.   Low hope bitterness, but moreso a slight malt astringency that takes it place.   Not rich like other good Ambers.   Blech... even a touch of ashtray.   I think that work copper has become synonimous with ashtray.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Not terrible, but not that good either.   At least I got myself a new label!

Pours light amber with a rich beige head and a toffee and pine aroma. There is a substantial caramel malt flavor with sticky hop bitterness and a dry finish.

HogTownHarry (5983) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JAN 15, 2006
Bottle (12oz). Poured bubbly slightly hazy bright orange with a small lasting off-white fizzy head. Smells fairly nice - mild malt and sweet perfumy apricot/citrus hops. Taste is sweet malt and light flowery hops, quite grainy, almost tea-like, with a fizzy light almost sticky mouthfeel. Not really that bad, but too sweet and not enough of anything.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a couple finger head, was too dark outside to see the beer color. Aroma is sweet and slightly soapy. The flavor is sweet and grainy with a dash of dry smelling hops and grain. The mouthfeel was medium carbonation and slightly creamy.

arminjewell (5715) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 26, 2010
Pours hazier orange with white head, aroma is old sweet biscuit, almost ester-like. Tastes similar to aroma with an odd sweetness, but still fairly enjoyable.
