Feb 19, 2004 A bit thin and light for a stout, but it has some sweetness and aroma of chocolate, maybe coffee. Very likeable if not entirely enjoyable. The right price and the right circumstances, I might be inclined to try it again.

Jan 6, 2003 Draught. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (milk chocolate, caramel), with a note of vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Quite sweet, very chocolatey aroma, almost artificially so in both cases.

Mar 25, 2002 Deep brown to black color, chocolate brown head, nice lace. Nose is toasted grains, caramel, chocolate tones. Start is sweet, the middle medium, the finish is dry, nicely hopped, moderate carbonation, drinkable and a pleasant good not great.
