| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 12, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours straw-yellow, typical looking American Wheat. Smelled of toast, with peanut butter??? Yeasty. Tasted the same. I think I’m starting to get a flavor for what American Wheats are all about. Definitely not a Weizen. Taste reminded me of the Magic Hat Circus Boy. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours pale golden with a decent size white head. Aroma of fruit, spices, and grain. The flavor is slightly sweet, grain, fruit, and spices galore. Just ok, average body, nothing to write home about. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Pours a chunky/cloudy straw yellow body. Aroma is mild grains, subtle kiwi, and bread. The flavor was tart lemons, sugar, bread and butter. I think that it’s the tart quality throughout that makes this beer good. Heathen (795), Riverside, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2007 THOUGHTS: This was incredible. I’m was kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I had been meaning to try it for a few months. Not quite like any beer I’ve ever smelled ar tasted before. I figuer it would be a big let down, but it was ten times better than I expected. It’s not the greatest wheat beer in thew world, but it’s probably the best American wheat I’ve had. Finally an American wheat in same league as some European wheats. Usually you get wither banana or citrus in a beer, but not both. It’s a wheat with a twist. Bonus points because the whole was greater than the sum of its parts.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium yellow with incredible carbonation and a average-sized, foamy, white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was moderate lemon and yeast along with banana and wheat. The initial flavor was very lighlty sweet, moderately acidic and sour, while the finish was lightly acidic, sour and tart with an average duration. The flavor was tart lemon, wheat and some banana with a little pepper at the end. The light to medium body was dry with soft carbonation and a slightly chalky and moderately astringent finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2007 Pours a bit cloudy. Aroma of wheat and yeast, toasty. Taste is straight forward wheat, hops and a hint of saltiness. Good body, almost chewy, like a Ritz cracker. Decent for a wheat beer. (Maybe its more like a saltine. . .Wheat Thin, . . . I don’t know, like a cracker, o.k.?) Beerman6686 (1281), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
