A traditional blonde ale light in body and heavy in head. A good wheat beer that is not popular, yet. A light hop aroma to compliment the good taste.

On draught at the Washington Brewers Festival. Aroma is peppery, phenolic, with some grainy wheat notes to it. Beer is cloudy with a white head; low retention. Flavor is bready, wheat malt forward, yeasty, slightly sour, with some vegetal notes. Light bodied, with a solid carb bite and dry finish. Was definitely confused, as this was just given to me as a standard ’blonde’ at the festival. Sat there with another beer judge just scratching our heads; glad to know this is not a true bolde, original score was 2.4...

6.12.07 bottle. Decent wheat in the American style. Little bit of citrus and banana, nice head and some sediment to cloud it up. Average.

Pours cloudy pale yellow with medium white to off-white head. Nose is banana ester, wheat malt, straw, coriander. Tastes of banana and cloves, wheat grain, and yeast. Clean, non bitter finish. Not an american wheat - a well done hefeweizen.

Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville. I going to rate this for what it is. Just because a beer is light bodied and not 11% does not mean it can’t be well crafted and complex. Too many people bash summer beers and I don’t understand why. Pours a hazy pale golden with a white head. Nice hefe type aroma of yeast, wheat malt, and a hint of lemon. Light texture and body, but refreshing and not watery. Initial flavor of pale wheat malt, yeast, and spice with moderate sweetness. Hints of lemon and a wisp of clove in the middle. Light thirst quenching and subtle yeasty finish. This is like a hefe meets wit, but with less body. Very well done for what it is, a mild summer beer. On a hot summer day, the kids can drink lemonade and I will have one of these. Under rated IMO

bottle pours a foggy golden with a head that rapidly dissapears. The aroma is of yeast mostly with a bit of malt sweetness. Flavor is light with a bit of malt and yeast flavor, there is a touch of sour at the finish. It is of medium carbonation. A very average wheat beer.
