Just because a beer is light bodied and not 11% does not mean it can’t be well crafted and complex. Too many people bash summer beers and I don’t understand why. Pours a hazy pale golden with a white head. Nice hefe type aroma of yeast, wheat malt, and a hint of lemon. Light texture and body, but refreshing and not watery. Initial flavor of pale wheat malt, yeast, and spice with moderate sweetness. Hints of lemon and a wisp of clove in the middle. Light thirst quenching and subtle yeasty finish. This is like a hefe meets wit, but with less body. Very well done for what it is, a mild summer beer. On a hot summer day, the kids can drink lemonade and I will have one of these. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Light aroma of wheat and grassy hop. Maybe floral hop. Hazy light gold color, with very little white head. Lightly carbonated, but it has a bite. Medium mouthfeel. It hints of a Saison. There seems to be significant clove. Arguably lemon. The finish is mildly bitter, and carries a little herb/veg. I just had a Saison, and I really think this has similarities. swoopjones (1897), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Single bottle at the local watering hole. Pours a light gold with a slight aroma of wheat. The usual wheat beer from America taste follows, nothing really too special about this beer, other than the name and the label. Bah. SuzyGreenberg (1324), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2007 Has a fairly funky yeast aroma followed by hearty grains, hints of cream that has started to turn and lemon zest. The body is pale with a limp fading white head. Lemony, vanilla, yeasty fore. Seems to have a much more pronounced yeast component than most American wheat beers and I rather like the finish that is a kind of creamy vanilla-like flavor. It’s weird my impression of this beer was always that I didn’t particuarly like it. While it’s not blowing me away I am enjoying it for what it is.
