Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Jul 27, 2006 Bottle courtesy of matta. Hazy golden yellow with overcarbonated head. Sweat yeasty aroma followed by some skunk. Flavor again has some euro-skunkiness going on. Maybe bottle was going bad, don’t know? Looking at these scores though doesn’t seem to be too far off. GuilTTy (527), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Jul 24, 2006 Mildly hazy medium yellow pour under a small off-white head. Weak but pleasant clove, yeast, banana and hoppy aroma. More of the same in the flavor with a pinch of lemon zest. Thin mouthfeel but a nice flavorful and crisp finish. This beer was a bit of a disappointment but still a good summer thirst quencher. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jul 11, 2006 Pour is a bright fizzy yellow with a white head. Aroma is nice. A miix of lemon and clove. Flavor is a bit watery but there is a tiny bit of banana and citrus but again it is all watered down way to much. Would not get it again. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2006 Had this one bottled at Lunar in Villa Park, Illinois. Dark yellow bubbly pour with a slight haze, nose of banana and orange. It’s your standard American Wheat with nothing special. blueduk (118), Eugene, Oregon, USA Jul 7, 2006 Not a great pour for a blonde. The body is golden and only slightly hazy. Label says unfiltered, but this is pretty clear. The head was small and fizzy and left quickly.
The aroma was nice. Spices, oranges, bananas and malted wheat. This beer should be lighter on the palate. The flavor profile is bananas and bubblegum and there’s a lingering flavor of bananas in the finish. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 5, 2006 Updated: Jul 6, 2006The aroma has incense, malt, bananas, and cloves. The appearance is hazy gold with a medium head. The flavor is good. It has lots of malt, citrus, hops, and spices. The palate is just about right for a spring or summer beer. I would also like to note that this is more of a Hefe than an American Wheat. Fonix7 (50), Toledo, Ohio, USA Jun 30, 2006 Finally! A wheat beer that tastes like Wheat beer!?! A summer brew for sure. My wife loved it. None of the bubblegum aroma spoken of elsewhere. More like citrus. crazyvin (1246), New York, USA Jun 22, 2006 poured a straw like color with a thin white head. some citrusy notes with a dough like presance/ hops were merely floral in this one flavor was mostly bread like with a hint of lemon. smooth.
