On tap @ Mellow Mushroom. Clear yellow beer with tiny white head. Aroma is strong with bananas, smoked malts, yeast spiciness and some sweet malts. A lot going on. It turns out the big banana aroma isn’t the main flavor. I taste Vienna type malts, yeast spiciness, apples and then some banana. Real interesting beer.

from a bottle. It pours a hazy straw/yellow. Aroma is bready yeast and banana, a touch of spice. The taste of this beer is banana up front, a touch of lemon and light spicyness throughout the palate. Watery finish, which is acceptable for the style.

Bottle courtesy of matta. Hazy golden yellow with overcarbonated head. Sweat yeasty aroma followed by some skunk. Flavor again has some euro-skunkiness going on. Maybe bottle was going bad, don’t know? Looking at these scores though doesn’t seem to be too far off.

Mildly hazy medium yellow pour under a small off-white head. Weak but pleasant clove, yeast, banana and hoppy aroma. More of the same in the flavor with a pinch of lemon zest. Thin mouthfeel but a nice flavorful and crisp finish. This beer was a bit of a disappointment but still a good summer thirst quencher.

Pour is a bright fizzy yellow with a white head. Aroma is nice. A miix of lemon and clove. Flavor is a bit watery but there is a tiny bit of banana and citrus but again it is all watered down way to much. Would not get it again.

Had this one bottled at Lunar in Villa Park, Illinois. Dark yellow bubbly pour with a slight haze, nose of banana and orange. It’s your standard American Wheat with nothing special.

Not a great pour for a blonde. The body is golden and only slightly hazy. Label says unfiltered, but this is pretty clear. The head was small and fizzy and left quickly. The aroma was nice. Spices, oranges, bananas and malted wheat. This beer should be lighter on the palate. The flavor profile is bananas and bubblegum and there’s a lingering flavor of bananas in the finish.

The aroma has incense, malt, bananas, and cloves. The appearance is hazy gold with a medium head. The flavor is good. It has lots of malt, citrus, hops, and spices. The palate is just about right for a spring or summer beer. I would also like to note that this is more of a Hefe than an American Wheat.
