Thick hazed golden yellow with a creamy white head. Banana and clove aroma with something askew (I think "seaweed" but my wife mentions "sauerkraut" and I’m inclined to agree). Dry and creamy with pronounced yeast in the flavor and a touch of bitterness. Finish flavor is fruity and a little buttery... but in a good way. I am in total agreement with the other reviewers who say that this beer exceeds it’s American Wheat confines and should be classed a Hefe.

This is excellent for an American Wheat, and should probably be called a hefeweizen. It is cloudy yellow; and looked like egg yolk in the glass when the sediment was poured in. Aroma has citrus and coriander as well as very light banana. Flavor is of a medium-quality hefeweizen. Sweet wheat, citrus and other fruit as well. Light and refreshing; good on a warm day without the thickness of the best hefeweizens. An unexpected find.

Sampled at Broudy’s Beerfest, Jacksonville FL, 3 June 2006. This was a decent American Wheat, which came a little closer than most to the real hefeweizens. Cloudy light golden with a foamy white head. Aromas of banana and citrus, Flavor was lemony and wheaty, decent and drinkable, but not great.

Pours very light golden with a thin foamy white head. Aroma of lemon, sweaty yeast, and honey. Taste is sweet toasted malt, honey, yeasty bubblegum and bread dough. Mouthfeel is light/medium bodied with soft carbonation. Great beer for the style.

Smooth and creamy, with some inherent graininess in the malt profile, lots of fruit covered wheat, really light, without anything really going on as far as complexity, but refreshing at the same time on a really hot day.

The beer pours forth from the 12-ounce brown bottle sets in the glass a slightly chill hazed straw color, the head smallish and white, the texture semi-creamy, as it erodes faster than the speed of light, the left over lace a thin sheet that conceals the glass. Nose has a fair wheat aroma, fresh and crisp, also a bit of malt sweetness, start is lightly sweet, grain profile adequate; the top feels light to the palate. Finish is spiny in its acidity, the hops light but present, quite dry aftertaste, not a bad beer, hits the spot on this hot Arizona day.

Tap. This was the first American Wheat that approached hefeweizen status and wasn’t some other type of wheat concotion. Poured a hazy yellow golden with a thick head. Light banana and citrus on the nose. Creamy, the light banana flavors continue with lemon and a tad of spice. I was expecting a thin American Wheat, but this was much better than that although it was a decent weiss.
