argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Nov 24, 2004 Hazy apple juice body with small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, lime, wheat, clove, tangy, light pear, apple. Taste is medium sweet, banana, some clove, wheat, lemon, no real bitterness. Watery light-medium body, some carbonation-induced acidic sourness. Decent drinkability, would make a fine lawnmower beer. hopdog (4779), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 27, 2005 Updated: Jan 5, 200612oz bottle acquired in trade with robertsreality (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a very small sized white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, grain and light citrus. When first poured I got a strong wet hay aromas that quickly went away. Tastes of bananas, wheat and light cloves. Starts of lightly honey sweet and ends in a light tart finish. Thin body that is typical of this style. CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jun 24, 2005 I had this on tap and from the looks of it, the tap version is nothing like the bottled version. What I had was one of the most German styled wheat beers I’ve had. Pours a cloudy hazy golden with a thin frothy white head. Aroma was yeasty, sweet and spiced. Body starts with good thickness, a touch of citrus, and lots of yeasty clove, and a peppery finish. One of the best American-made German wheats I’ve had. Reminds me a lot of New Glarus Solstice Weiss.
