tagz (304), USA Aug 6, 2007 bottle. not your standard american wheat. pours cloudy yellow-orange thin off white head. the spices remind me of a belgian white. you can definitely taste some corriander or clove. its slightly malty and has a decent wheat character. light sweetness as well. typically "american wheat" translates to "watered down," but this one has some substance. its not the most amazing wheat beer you’ll taste but its a good session beer with solid flavor. well done.
Saarlander (1448), The Saarland, Germany Aug 20, 2008 Light cloudy pour, slight head. some citrus, grass, slight banana, clove, very mellow brew, easy drinking, decent brew, nice for 5.9%. Thanks to Immy for the brew! hogan873 (175), Joliet, Illinois, USA Aug 16, 2008 Good stuff. Cloudy, pale gold body with a thin white head. Nice wheat beer aroma of yeast (think steamed hot dog bun), banana, and bubblegum. The palate is a bit thin and maybe oily. Very good flavor consisting of yeast, malt, banana, and spice. Finishes clean and refreshing. A good example of a wheat beer. Sparky27 (498), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 15, 2008 12oz Bottle. Pours a hazy hefe-like yellow with a fast fading 2 finger snow white head. Nose is wheat, banana and light lemon. Taste is the same with some yeasty spice thrown in. A refreshing summer brew. darn1207 (227), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 12oz bottle. cloudy light gold pour with thin to medium white head. aroma of banana, yeast and wheat. bubblegum, cloves and lemon in the taste. thinnish palate. stangger (106), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 12 oz bottle. I thought this tasted much more like a Belgian white than anything resembling blonde or wheat. It’s a golden pour that smells and tastes like a Belgian with a hint of banana at the end.
