CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA May 9, 2007 Nitro charged at the brewery. Reminded me of Guiness. Very dark with a tan head. Problem with the tap and found that it had an iron after taste. When I mentioned the taste the bartender shut the tap down. Too bad for me. The first pint was smooth and chocolately. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 9, 2007 (On tap) 5.6% ABV in my version. Black and opaque - pehaps with a vague, orange hue - and a creamy, beige head. Vaguely toasted aroma. Soft mouthfeel - almost no carbonation - I think this was on nitro. Very light in body, lightly burned malt and some bitter chocolate. Subdued bitterness. 270307 Doctormirk (100), USA Mar 27, 2007 Off a nitro keg at Boulder Creek. Pours dark with a fluffy micro bubble head. Muted flavor as per usual with nitro. Slight smoke, roasty and pleasantly mild. Great service and company at Boulder Creek, and If you are just passing through, make sure you camp at Big Basin Redwoods!
