COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the dam workers who packed all the explosives, this beer is flavorful and refreshing, yet not filling. Made with a combination of fresh Liberty hops from Yakima, Washington and the prized East Kent Goldings hops from England. Two-row brewers malt is used with a small amount of roasted barley to give this brew a well-rounded malty character and its light golden color.

Draft from brewery. Another odd offering for a style. Very cloudy and still pilsner. Not the light refreshing, slightly bitter pilsner I expected.

This an ugly beer. Light straw color. Beer has decent hop balance but is very thin with herbal and floral bitterness.

DruncanVeasey (5138) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2010
Tap at the Boulder Dam brewpub, Boulder City, Nevada. Pale, greenish gold with a broken halo and mist of sediment. Grassy, lemon barley aroma. Lemony with wine gum and lime hints, and a spiced apple-type fruitiness. Finishes dry with an unfiltered helles squeakiness. Low carbonation, floury afters. Empty-bodied.

Another boring beer. A bit bubbly. This isn’t good. Really almost makes me think of a super-cheap macro brew like Bud Light or dare i say Natty?

Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. Smells of sweet malt, some hoppy hints. Tastes sweet and peppery with a spicy finish.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a hazy dark yellow color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Light spiced hops in the nose. Light body with mild hops and spice flavors, along with a touch of malt in the background. The finish is thin with a sweet malt aftertaste that does not linger long. Slightly below average overall.

draft at the brewpub - Pours mostly clear gold with a thin head and a light malt aroma. The flavor is mostly pale malt with just a touch of hops. It has a light body, understated carbonation, and a clean finish.

...well, not a pilsner, but they tried. Weak, no body or head, watery. No hop notes, or malt mouthfeel, they need to keep trying.

Thought it could have been the hefe at first glance. The palest offering of the day, cloudy because all of their beer is unfiltered, it doesn’t strike me as having quite enough hop bite or gripping character, just a pale thin malt beverage. Tiny carbonation, and no head.
