COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With 10 acres of floor space, the powerhouse presently holds 17 huge generators that use the water brought in by the penstocks to produce nearly 3 million horsepower. We use a tremendous amount of hop-power to produce this exceptional ale. It takes over 8 pounds of Perle and Cascade to make just 5 barrels. Roasted barley and two-row brewers malt give this ale its deep golden color.

Wittales (611) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Appearance was cloudy orangish gold with creamy diminishing 1 finger white head, spotty lacing. Aromas are citrus fruits, sweet pale and crystal malts with a touch of Dank funk. Taste was grapefruit, orange, pine, and slightly fruity esters, no alcohol present. Palate was smooth soft CO2 with medium body, then lasting mild hoppy slightly dryish finish. A good local pale ale...

Wow this is a fruity pale especially in the head. Unfortunately, Im getting some acetyl in the flavor mixed with fruit. Couldnt drink.

Draught sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy caramel with a white head. Smells of citrus, pineapple, grassy, grapefruit. Tastes citrussy and chewy with a nice up front hoppy finish.

...another decent of the brews there. Had some flavor, and actually some hints of malt in this one. Hoppy, floral, better than the IPA. Not a bad regular beer.

A well crafted pale ale. Their IPA needs to learn a lesson from this flavourful beverage. I could have sworn this was their IPA - maybe my taste sampler was disorganized. Unfiltered and cloudy, orange in color, and lots of hops. Some good malt backing kept a sweet presence, and it isnt overwhelming in any aspect. Maybe the odd aftertaste of their beer is from finishing sugars? Tastes a lot like a home brew.

Draught at the brewpub
Muddy golden color. Nice hoppy aroma, light but interesting. Medium body strength, some malt flavor, good hopping, aromatic, a bit fruity; but there is a too high yeast presence to spoil it a bit.

Draft pint at the brewpub. Pretty pale yellow-orange but fully opaque and "fuzzy" like a weizenbock or something. Light orange-fruity zesty aroma ... the drink is tangily hoppy but without a strong fruity flavor of their excellent IPA. This lacks a substantial backbone that would make it better, but still a decent bitter n twisted beer. (#3081, 9/8/2007)
