COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In November of 1989, John McDonald loaded his pickup and drove three blocks down the street to deliver the very first keg of Boulevard beer. Though significantly more assertive, Boulevard 21st Anniversary Fresh Hop Pale Ale is brewed in loving tribute to that original Pale Ale. English pale malt gives the beer a rich, nutty malt flavor. Munich and Caramel malts add color and body, while a blend of Cascade, Hallertau, Magnum, Styrian Golding, and Centennial hops contribute scintillating citrus aromas and complex, peppery notes.

Tap at Gingerman. The look is cloudy, dark orange in color, with an off white head. The smell is hops, fruits, citrus, some pine. The taste is taste if good fresh hops, citrus, fruits, and pine.

750 ml. bottle. Just found this in my cellar. Pours dark orange with a nice biege head. Aroma of piney hops, citrus, and florals. Taste is pine, oranges, caramel, and florals. Considering everything a very nice beer.

Not a bad brew. Served at a good temperature with a nice sized, cream colored head that lasted a while and lots of lace. Color is slightly hazy honey amber. Aroma is hop, caramel, wet grain, solvent. Flavor is exactly the same: alll a that plus carbonic tang yet the solvens play a big role. Body n carbonation are good. Finish is like flavor and balanced. good beer.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy, burnt orange body with a moderately thick, dense, off-white head. Big hoppy nose of citrus and light piney resin with some sweet caramel malt underneath and light toast. Hops come through big in the flavor - some citrus, white grape and woodsy flavors. Sweet malt with a touch of cracker. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with a bitter, somewhat resinous finish. Tasty beer!

A hazy dark orange beer with a medium tan head. The aroma has strong hops pine, citrus, grass, and dishwater, but in a good way. The flavor is lemon, slightly sour, with big hops bitterness, but not overwhelming. A refreshing and tasty beer with great hops characteristics.

Hazy orange-amber with a moderate beige head. Aroma of citrus, raisins, English pale malt, caramel malt and a touch of pine. The taste is malty and fruity, mildly sweet and mildly bitter. Medium bodied, very slightly dry, and very easy drinking with just the right amount of carbonation.

Orange, clear, very good head and good carbonation. There’s some pineapple aroma followed by a decent pale ale with only almost enough pine hops flavor and bitterness. Somehow I was expecting more hops in the nose and the taste, but other than that, another decent brew from Boulevard.

Pours hazy orange with a small off-white, tannish head. Smells surprisingly hoppy, touches of citrus and pine and flowers. Taste is citrus and floral with some bitterness. Medium-bodied with a faintly dry texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Boulevard 21st Anniversary Fresh Hop Pale Ale finishes with orange or sweet clementine citrus notes.

Orange with a white head. Good citrus aroma and flavor with a solid malt body and a nice fruit finish.
