Consumed week of release in KC from cork and cage, balanced restrained American pale ale complexities, one that grows on you with every sip, really nice
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Cuff_Links (35) - - DEC 31, 2012
Poured a hazy orange with small off-white, tan (kinda) head. Smelled hoppy (surprisingly so), with a touch of flowers and pine (citrus? maybe). Taste is floral with some bitterness and also citrus with some bitterness. A medium-body with mild carbonation, finishes with orange. Would drink again, but it is an Anniversary Beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 kevinator (360) - The Colony, Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2012
This was good but probably getting at the end of its shelf life. The aroma was a cereal malt with some floral. Nice palate with a full feel that has subdued over time. It had a nice pumpkin color with a solid head from a hard pour. Sweet alcohol and bread taste with an evenly matched hop bitterness, but not so much that I felt I was drinking an IPA. I wish they still made this.
4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Fatehunter (794) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Poured into a pint glass. Golden amber. A perfect inch of white head that holds on.
Smells like honeysuckle and a lighter citrus.
Light taste compared other fresh hop ales I’ve had. Still good. Malt and hops are balanced well with the malt sweetness coming through just a little more than the bitter of the hops.
Moderate body, a good amount of bubbles on the tongue, but it does not come off as too carbonated.
Despite my preconceived idea that a fresh hop ale should be "hoppy" apparently Boulevard was after a more malty pale ale. In that respect they succeeded. It drinks great; easy to drink but complex enough to enjoy slowly.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 travita (3114) - Frisco, Texas, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Tap at Gingerman. The look is cloudy, dark orange in color, with an off white head. The smell is hops, fruits, citrus, some pine. The taste is taste if good fresh hops, citrus, fruits, and pine.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 RobertDale (2000) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - FEB 8, 2012
750 ml. bottle. Just found this in my cellar. Pours dark orange with a nice biege head. Aroma of piney hops, citrus, and florals. Taste is pine, oranges, caramel, and florals. Considering everything a very nice beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 drpimento (1936) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 22, 2011
Not a bad brew. Served at a good temperature with a nice sized, cream colored head that lasted a while and lots of lace. Color is slightly hazy honey amber. Aroma is hop, caramel, wet grain, solvent. Flavor is exactly the same: alll a that plus carbonic tang yet the solvens play a big role. Body n carbonation are good. Finish is like flavor and balanced. good beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kuphish (378) - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA - NOV 3, 2011
750ml bottle. Pours a hazy, burnt orange body with a moderately thick, dense, off-white head. Big hoppy nose of citrus and light piney resin with some sweet caramel malt underneath and light toast. Hops come through big in the flavor - some citrus, white grape and woodsy flavors. Sweet malt with a touch of cracker. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with a bitter, somewhat resinous finish. Tasty beer!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiercepanda (357) - Missouri, USA - OCT 30, 2011
A hazy dark orange beer with a medium tan head. The aroma has strong hops pine, citrus, grass, and dishwater, but in a good way. The flavor is lemon, slightly sour, with big hops bitterness, but not overwhelming. A refreshing and tasty beer with great hops characteristics.
